The restaurant was surprisingly empty, for a Friday evening. It does not look like much when you walk in, but the food is really good and the staff was very welcoming and efficient. My husband had their signature dish, pork belly, and it certainly was...up there with the best pork belly he had ever eaten. The crackling was fantastic! I had the vegetarian version of Chow Mein (with halloumi) and enjoyed it very much. Would definitely recommend. Unfortunately, we did not have space to try the desserts.More

We enjoyed lunch at Farmers fork. Nicestaff, good food, reasonable prices. It is a bit far (we come from Cape Town), butthe best foodin the neighborhood.

Wow. The service was impeccable and the staff was so friendly. I have many allergies, and the owners were so accommodating in this regard. Would 10/10 recommend it to anyone wanting to experience flavourful meals.

What a great find in the Champagne Valley. Gorgeous little spot with a hands-on manager and fresh, homegrown produce. Possibly the best spaghetti and meatballs we have ever tasted and the arancini balls were sublime. The pizzas are home-made and thick-crusted and absolutely delicious (pulled...pork for the win). If you are looking for thin crust, standard pizzas, try the other recommendations like the pork belly and stir fry. We will be back!!More

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with friends. Although everything ordered was good, the chicken curry and oxtail were superb. Sampling some of their pizza on offer, definitely made one want to go back for more. I presented special needs during our visit there, and found...the owners extremely helpful, considerate and accommodating. Will definitely be back.More

We decided to visit the restaurant on a Wednesday night and were one of only three tables present. Despite this and a wait of 20 minutes we received no service - no offer of a drinks order or any explanation for the delay and eventually...decided to leave.More

One of the best Red Cappuccinos I ever had. Very underwhelming Pulled Pork pizza, very little pork and scimpy on the cheese. Nice " Bagel in the Berg " with scrambled eggs.

Early Dinner at The Farmers Fork, kids had their appetizer tapas here for their Sunday date day, so suggested we come for our dinner. We had the serendipitous encounter with the 2 owners, retired engineer Johann as the start up chef & Louis as the...energized engaging host. Lighting was poor as they were hit with loadshedding, so not the best of pics, but the food was warmly scrumptious. We both shared the chili grilled King prawns with some grainy rice, I forget the name, prawns were saucy succulent. Then we shared the chicken schnitzel that was soft and tender on the inside & super crunchy on the out, it was served with a home made secret chili sauce that I just had to get the recipe from the sous chef, the chips were so crunchy and browned on the outside yet super soft on the inside. When i say it was made with love trust me I savored every bite. And as I am a foodie, I just had to have a personal chat with Johann who graced our table with his presence and I shared all of my culinary travels with him. Co- incidentally he was going to SummerHill Estate for a family birthday ahead of me.... We had to have their chocolate brownie that was so chocolatey decadent & gooey. I had to steal a piece for Jared as a take away. 🥰Louis told us that they are extending their place as business is starting to take offSo happy for them both, if you in the area, please do give them a pop in, worth the change up in daily menu, so you don't know what Johan is whipping up in the kitchen. Bought my little mug momento. 😍 Johan mentioned another business venture called The Farmers Lawn also in Winterton, a little accommodation place on a nature reserve that I was invited to come stay over as a try out. Next on my bucket list. Loved the gracious warm hospitality of these vibrant duo🙇‍♀️❤️More

Often, when watching cooking shows on YouTube, people gabble on about "umami" and flavour profiles and whatnot. I used to think that was all a bunch of nonsense and food either tasted good, meh or bad. The Farmer's Fork changed my view completely. The flavours,...in even arguably basic dishes, such as a Caprese Flatbread, are astounding. Every bite takes you on a journey. Everything works together so well; sweet, savoury, acidic, it's all there and it's wonderful. Not to mention, the place looks great, the staff are extremely friendly, professional and passionate about what they do. Pricing is more than reasonable and portions are generous. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I will definitely be back.More

What an absolute gem. We enjoyed a scrumptious selection of tapas in a really charming setting. Although service was a bit slow it was good. The front of house manager is on point with a great sense of humour and of great assistance, as one...of our party was in a wheelchair. Great stopover to grab a bite whilst sightseeing in the area. I would certainly recommend a visit.More

What a wonderful surprise. Service great and people friendly, and the yummiest food. A truly hidden little treasure. If you want something different to the touristy pub stops, then this is for you.

My wife and I had breakfast there on a Monday morning in April 2022, on my wife's birthday. We didn't know what to expect, but what a pleasant surprise! The ambience was fantastic - there was a cozy fire going in the tapas bar, which...is where the breakfast was served. The service was truly exceptional, by South African standards. The staff were friendly, well-informed, very efficient and maintaining just the right level of distance and presence. The food was really excellent. The portions were LARGE, so go there when you are hungry. But the portion size did not take anything away from the special treat for the palate. And on top of it - the menu was quite interesting unlike so many breakfast menus that could bore you to sleep. This restaurant goes highly recommended in my book. Give it a try - I bet you won't regret. We will be back.More

Great front man. Don’t be fooled by the word tapas - This is no ordinary Spanish / Mexican fare - the tapas have a serious SA twist - try the ‘Ollie pap and Vleis’ . We also had pulled pork tacos. Also really good -...we’ll BE BACKMore

Exquisite food in exquisite surroundings. We ate the cheese croquettes, chicken roulade and the crispy pork belly which were mouth-watering. The elderflower cocktail is unusual and full of flavour. Reasonably priced with an excellent wine selection.

I was in the area for work for a month and this restaurant was my go to for breakfast (which is absolutely delicious), lunch, and dinner. Fantastic menu, featuring fresh produce some of which is grown on site, the quality of the meat especially the...pork belly and the fillet is some of the best I’ve had in South Africa. Great staff and service, the only place you have to dine! Johan is an absolute treat!More
