I visited JP's with a friend, and we both had the fillet steak with sauce. From the first bite it was evident that the chef had real pleasure in preparing the food, has excellent cullinary skills, and prepared everything from scratch. Wow, what a meal!...The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce out of this world! I also really enjoyed the chips that were not oily and spiced well. To top it off we had dessert. My friend had the brownie (absolutely yummy) and I had the dom pedro. We received excellent and friendly service throughout. I highly recommend JP's, and will definitely be back!More

Our party of 4 had hake, Chicken Schnitzel and the Navigators parcel. My hake was absolutely fantastic, the lady's had the Chicken schnitzel and said it was the best ever. My brother-in-law had the parcel - his comment was that it was one of the...best meals he had in a long time. It was clear that everything was freshly prepared (it takes a while as does most quality things). The prices are also very reasonable. This unassuming place deserves to get lots of support. JP and his team is doing an outstanding job.More

We weren't sure where to eat for lunch while we stayed in St Helena Bay. We wanted an inexpensive lunch to share. Had a hake & chips and ordered another chips, as they where really nice. Hake was fresh and not oily. The kind chef...decided that our lunch was on the house. Can't believe what good people work here.More

We ordered hake and chips the first day. The seafood platter the next. It was amazing. So fresh. The Calamari melts in the mouth. The fish superb. The restaurant is rustic, you can go to prettier places, but you won't get better food. The prices...are very reasonable and service is warm and friendly.More

We reserved our seats as we were told it is very popular with locals and others. We went on a su day and were offered the su day 3 course special. The portion of mains was super generous and taste was good. My husband had...a the mussel in garlic starter which was really special, small but amazing. He had a steak and chips which was good too.More

Due to lockdown we were not able to go for a sit down at JP's but on recommendation from the staff at St Helena Bay Hotel we ordered a take away which was very reasonably priced & they had anything available as a take away....The order was taken quickly , time of delivery requested & delivered right to our Hotel room , well done JP's. Hopefully next time we can enjoy a sit down meal on the premises.More
