Beautiful setting and open spaces for kids. Service was okay. Food was really disappointing. Food was cold and one of the biggest sins for any decent restaurant is the use of pre prepared chicken wings. I am sure you guys can do better than that.
When travelling in this area, this is a good place to grab something to eat. There are lots of save parking and a big playground for kids. The food was good, but the restaurant was under-staffed and it took a long time for the food...to come. However, the staff was friendly.More
Very nice stop after driving through Baviaanskloof. Good menu and service, clean ablutions, nice lawn for kids to play and lovely views from seats and tables under huge shady trees. Also inside seating for inclement weather There is also a craft shop

Good day Piet,
Thank you for your review of Padlangs Country Restaurant and shop.

Spent the day here during their Farmer’s Market... found everything was run smoothly with genuine friendliness and good professional service. Strong foot traffic meant there was a nice vibey atmosphere, kids playing in their water foundation kept them out of parents hair, but still in...full view. Extremely scenic location with stunning vistas and green garden areas. Interior was cottage chic, but very nice. Comfortable atmosphere.
Strong team with good, friendly service.More

Dear Casey B,
Thank you so much for your positive review. xx
We love coming to Padlangs as the kids always ask us to visit so that they can play and we can just sit and relax and enjoy the good food and awesome view of the citrus on the hills. The food is always a winner...even if it can take quite a while for the food to arrive depending on how busy they are but remember the food is freshly prepared. Its good to book a table before just pitching up as it can get very busy and the waiting times can get a bit long. The lawn for the kids is just amazing wit the water fountain they can play in and little bikes they can ride etc.More

Thank you for your lovely review.

We sat outside, which was very pleasant and had wraps which were well prepared, bursting with filling and served with a smile. We were a bit disappointed with the trip through Hankey and Patensie but the meal, atmosphere, service and setting made up for it....Will be back.More

Thank you for your kind review.
PS: Although we know what you mean with the trip through Hankey (and we agree) we must just say that most small town in SA is going backward, but this is not the case in the Gamtoos Valley....More
