Odd menu but excellent steak! The restaurant looks promising from the entrance but is basic inside. Staff don’t have much English. I had vegetable soup that was tasty but not very hot. I then had veal steak which was enormous and delicious but it was...served with chips, rice and black beans which I thought odd. A week here and I’ve not been served a single vegetable! A side of mixed veg would have been nice. My partner had the mixed grill which was all well cooked and tasty, I had creme brûlée but the caramelised sugar tasted like charcoal. With 2 glasses of wine 47 euros. The most expensive meal we’ve had in the area by 20 euros! Not worth it.More

Normally you pay 7.5€ for a prato do dia or sometimes maybe a little extra for a dessert but that's it. We had to pay 49€!!! for 3 persons. They let us pay for every item which is not normal for a prato do dia....Everything's all included in a non ripp off restaurant. And we are not tourists, we allready live in Portugal for 4 years and in the neighbourhood. So, big mistake to mess with us!!!!!!More

Normally and only during the week you pay 8.5 for the all-inclusive dish of the day. The weekend is different. And during the week if you choose other dishes, you pay the price on the list where nothing is included.

There’s an art to creating good food without over doing it and this restaurant has that figured out. Simple ingredients combined artfully made for a most satisfying meal. And even though one waitress seemed to be handling the whole place, the service was very good....Lunch for 2 for under 20 euros too!More

Very nice atmosphere. Especially in the winter when they have the fire going. NIce staff but only one person speaks English. We have tried many things on the menu and you get a huge portion so we usually split a meal (my wife and I)....The goat cooked in Red wine is usually very good (Chamfana) but one time we got a dish of mostly bones with little meat. The francesinha is the best I have had in Portugal. Nice desserts, good house wine.. You can have a nice meal with wine for 2 people for 15€.More

Having been here twice in a week, once for Menu Del Dia and for lunch on Sunday, I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The food is very good, home cooked grub, huge portions and the staff are very friendly. You get great olives to pick...on with a great bread basket. On Sundays, we were also given a plate of tempura vegetables, and fishes bites. Very nice. On both occasions we couldn't eat everything, so the waitress happily bagged the leftovesr up which we took back to give to a dog & cat. So they liked it too. I recommend you visit very hungry, you won't leave wanting more food trust me ! After eating at a couple of other establishments, I'd say this restaurant wins hands down and I know we'll be back in our final week in Olveira do Hospital.More

Good restaurant and not expensive. Only thing I didn't like the waitress put a couple of tapas and olives on our table while we waited for our meal and than charged us for them. But the food and wine is good

We went three times to this restaurant. First evening, we were about the only guests. Friendly service and absolutely good food for money. Second time, bit less friendly staff, food was just OK. Last night, received cold chips (2 out of 3 people) and the...ordered grilled chicken was far from ready to eat. (Half of it returned, see photo). Place was much more busy, but that is not an acceptable excuse. A pity..More

This restaurant is cozy and inviting with a fireplace, plants and friendly service. Our meal was abundant, and we were introduced to some new tastes- particularly on the sausage & cheese starter platter. A great place for a pleasant and ample family lunch.

The meal was delicious, we had the special codfish for two, and the room had a fireplace keeping it cozy and warm. Great atmosphere. The staff was amazing, always attentive and kind. Great experience
