We had an impromptu Sunday lunch after castle visit. As we entered the waitress asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. She informed us that we may have to wait a while, which was not the case at all. We were served...fast and efficiently with both drinks and food. I had the trout and it was simply delicious. If I am back in the area, I will most definitely visit again.More

This small restaurant attracted us with its pastries. The short menu of favorites caused us to change our luncheon plans. My wife and I ordered two different pork dishes and shared tastes. The meat was perfectly done and the surface was savory and slightly crisp....The pastas on each plate were covered with tasty mushroom sauces. The service was efficient and the beverage selections were on a quality level with the food. The desserts were more than a match, both in quality and quantity. Alas, the hair difference between 4 and 5 points was found in my wife's sauce. A chef this good should know better than to prepare a meal without a hair net. We presume this is not a common failure so, we give the Schloss Aschach Kaffeerestaurant a qualified but enthusiastic recomendation.More

The service was poor. The waitress was not listening and therefore brought a wrong order. For my food the cook forgot the meat!! I was served only the dumpling and gravy. The food was average (taste).

We've known the hief from 2 other restaurants before and he kept his standard. We enjoyed the dishes from the extra fish-week menu, but can recommend the ordinary menu as well. Remember to book a table - especially on weekends. Enjoy
