If you haven't had a change to experience Da Aristo, drop everything and do it. Do it now! We love this place. It's an unassuming little place that exudes small town Italy. Having ancestral ties to Barga, we feel those ties strongly here watching the...More

Some might call it a “hole in the wall” but we decided that “hidden treasure” was a better description. This tiny bar is tucked away within the original city walls of Barga and a must-stop on Sunday evening when the local musicians are playing. We...More

We were recently in Barga and stumbled upon this quaint little bar/cafe on our first night. Wow! The quiche is outstanding, the wine is yummy...but it is sitting out on the piazza that pulls it all together. Loved the impromptu live music, and especiallyloved Giovanni,...More

We stopped in for a glass of wine and were well taken care of. Definitely worth walking around a bit to look at all the memorability on the walls. Friendly, interesting owner.

We visited Barga mainly because we hadn't been there. While walking around the wonderfully hilly town we stumbled into da Aristo to get out of the rain and were immediately in our kind of place, small, a character behind the bar and several locals one...More

da Aristo is a bar, not a restaurant. They do serve food, which is fine for lunch and for snacks to eat with your drink, but for dinner i'd go elsewhere. This bar is in a nice location, at the top of town, at a...More

Cross between the local Barga theatre (with the owner being the star attraction) and a bar. We stopped in based on Trip Advisor reviews. The place is very simple inside with art renderings of the owner everywhere you looked. His theatrical behavior could keep anyone...More

dear Hondette, you're really right. In Barga, there are many more elegant places. Aristo is a piece of old Tuscany. There is a family cat, there are people who like to welcome you and talk to guests. then there is good food, simple, genuine and...More

Happened on this place when all the other places were shut. Pleased they were - it was awesome! Owner and all the staff were lovely. Ate polenta with sausage, caprese salad (super-creamy mozzarella), a platter of salami and cheese, all great. Highly recommend.

Great little bar run by a real character - you won't miss him, dressed I his tartan waistcoat and sporting top notch whiskers, all topped off with his chef's hat. Delicious local red wine, a lively atmosphere as people cram in for the few tables...More

The perfect spot for a really good antipasti and a glass of Prosecco! We really enjoyed it here, Barga has tons of character, as does Da Aristos owner! If in Barga- please do stop here, the food and hospitality is second to none! Grazie!
