This restaurant is the best in the city. Stunning location in a small street in the historic center, quiet environment. The wine cellar is incredible and the dishes I ate were exquisite, from the platters to the scallops to the tiramisu, I couldn't tell you...what I liked most, everything was perfect. Thanks GianniMore

Restaurant was recommended highly by our tour guides and it did not disappoint. Situated just off the main square makes it a nice spot to have dinner when the old town is crowded. Has both indoor and outdoor seating but tables are limited so a...reservation is usually needed. Making a reservation was not difficult. Restaurant owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Dinner was excellent. An assortment of raw and cooked seafood prepared in innovative and creative ways. The raw selections were fresh, creamy and sweet. The cooked entrees such as spaghetti with cod fish and sea bass in with fennel purée were delicious. The tiramisu was one of the best I had on my trip. Service was superior since it was all provided by the owner Giovanni. Another plus was an excellent playlist to accompany dinner with great music. All in all a wonderful and memorable experience.More

Without doubt the best food and wine in Monopoli. A small restaurant off Piazza Garibaldi. The sommelier owner is so knowledgeable and the food cooked “sous vide” is wonderful.

A hidden gem. Tucked away in a small street is this hidden gem. The restaurant is dmall with a few tables on cozy terrace and a few tables inside. The owner is very nice, fluently in French and English. The dishes are amazing. French cuisine...with local products makes this a very nice mix. As the name points out, the wine list is great. We enjoyed a local white wine which was very good. Highly recommended.More

We chose this bar as the owner is a sommelier who could advise us on wine. As we sat tasting his (fabulous) choices, we saw some amazing looking food coming out of the kitchen, so we promised ourselves to come back for dinner. So pleased...we did! What a treat! This restaurant specialises in Sous Vide cookery, so the food was original and wonderfully tender, with fantastic layers of flavour. Would thoroughly recommend to any foodies visiting Monopoli.More

Excellent. Wonderful amuse bouche, gorgeous fish starter and main and fabulous wine and service. Even the bread and olive oil was special. Worth every star of its TA rating. Go there, you won’t be disappointed.

As all the other reviewers have noted. Quite a wonderful experience. When I go out to eat service is as important as the food and this place has both in spades. So first - the food: Since my wife is pregnant we unfortunately couldn’t go...with a lot of of the raw options so we started with the chefs pasta which was an excellent cacio e pepe. I’m not Italian but I’ve had the same dish in Rome and Florence 3 years ago. I can’t really tell you where it ranks. But it was much better than anything I’ve had in the states and better than what I’ve had this visit. The cheese had a strong flavor without being overpowering. It was creamy but not too heavy. “A” plus. My wife had sea bass and I had lobster. What is interesting about the food in Monopoli - especially with the seafood is it is not over sauced or seasoned. You’re expected to more or less just taste the meat. And it’s extremely high quality. Lobster is rough because sometimes it can be very bland. This was not. It was flavorful without needing a lot of butter or sauces. But most importantly for me - the server was knowledgeable and kind and took time to recommend wines for every course. I started with an unfiltered sparkling white which had a flavor similar to a beer but much lighter. Excellent. The second was a white wine for the pasta. Very light. But the last was a white from Etna which I think was a Carricante it was sweet without the sort of stickiness you get from some sweeter wines. For dessert my wife had the Tiramisu which was great and I had a chocolate mousse which was excellent as well. All in all just a really great time. Highly recommend.More

We were so full from eating a big meal elsewhere that we just wanted a simple meal. This restaurant was a home run. We went with another couple. We each ordered an appetizer: stuffed squash blossoms, eggplant Parmesan and tuna carpaccio. Outstanding!

Recommended by a fellow boat trip participant we headed off ….. round the corner from our accomodation, hoping to find a table. We did and had one of our best meals in Italy. Fresh fish, beautiful presentation, wonderful wine (house wine by the glass -...exceptional, and deserts that tempted every tastebud! An exceptional restaurant created by people who obviously love their food. A small, intimate place to dine - would definitely go again tomorrow but off to Lecce! Mustn’t forget the surprise additional mini treats between courses! Book ahead of you can as it is very popular.More

What a pleasant surprise! We came across this little restaurant by incident. They have a winelist with the best local wines, but also a choice of beautiful, mainly slowcooked dishes to go with it. A true ‘piacere del palato’! And the treatment was an example...of true Italian hospitality. We had a beautiful evening we will cherish. Highly recommended!More

Traveling solo, I was told all seats on terrace are reserved, which is alright if it's really true, except 85% of seats outside were available. Whoever came after, was able to sit outside having a reservatio or not, because they were a couple or a...group of people. Wine tasted like vinegar. Food was alright nothing special.More

Food served in a style that is out of your usual expectation, with such uniqueness, imagination and details and of course the amazing taste. The owner, I think, dressed well, served us personally. With such care, patience and kindness. The moment I finished oysters, he...handed in the refresher; the moment I finished cleaning up, he took them away. And he made sure he is working other tables and observing from a comfortable distance and not over serving you. And the background music, reflects a lot his taste, soooo good to our ears and our stomach and our mood as well. During our 2-week summer tour in southern Italy, best visit ever!More

Found after looking at TripAdvisor reviews for excellent restaurants in the monopoli downtown/old town area. Everything was to perfection. Our server/manager was attentive and funny. He picked the best selections of Bianco and rose. I ended up buying a bottle of the Apulian rose. Oysters...were incredible as a starter for my husband and I. Just 2 (5 euros each but worth it). Then scallops on a bed of red cabbage and chef’s pasta (Aldente pasta topped with limp sea bass and breaded fish eggs). We enjoyed the codfish . Desserts were so creative and paired with their home blended amaro.More
