Aying is a neat little town southeast of Munich. This is THE meeting place for all Ayingers and people in the area. They make their own beer, and it is top-notch. But they are much more than beer..
Bring your appetite and get prepared for large portions of great food. If the weather is nice, sit out in the garden. Otherwise, share a table inside with your 4 new best friends. The guests and staff are wonderful, and they are invaluable in guiding you through the menu.
To say the portions are large would be an understatement. The "big schnitzel" hangs over the plate, and the rib platter consists of every rib from the animal. Share with your mate or take away what you can't eat for another meal at home. If you're hungry, you're going to love Braustuberl.

There were twelve of us at a huge table, everyone wanted something different to eat, and there were also various special requests for side dishes, but Chris, our waiter, didn't let it get to him and everything was served quickly and correctly. The schnitzels were huge and very fine, the roast beef with onions was grilled to exactly the right temperature, very tasty! Not for a romantic evening, but perfect for meeting up with friends where it can be loud. We would definitely go back.

Quite large room with ample space even outside. Saturday at 3pm not very crowded, we immediately found a place and were served quickly. Very tasty roast pork; cheese gnocchi great choice for vegetarians. The local beers are very good and "clean", as you would expect from Germans. Ideal place to escape the chaos of the metropolis

Fantastic place, we found a sunny day and were able to have lunch outside. Fantastically prepared typical Bavarian dishes. Generous portions at a fair price, the beer they make is delicious. I think it will be a regular stop every time we return to Munich

After a long break, we were back in the Bräustüberl. We had arranged to meet a friend and had to wait a bit. It was nice that we weren't pressured to order anything. After the meeting and two half-pints of fantastic Kellerbier, we ordered our food. The schnitzel was very good and the beer roast tasted excellent, especially the potato and cucumber salad. The waiters were all very friendly and quick. Even more friendly after the renovation.

We were there after a strenuous day at the trade fair and felt completely taken care of. Excellent service, great recommendations, portions big enough - lovingly prepared. We ate meatballs in dark beer sauce with potato and cucumber salad (hmmm... delicious) and Schlutzkrapfen in nut butter sauce with chanterelles (hmmm... even more delicious). Rounded off with a Willians schnapps with red pear from a multi-litre bottle. Although we didn't really eat much, we were perfectly looked after - it couldn't get any better.
We'll be happy to come back, at the latest in 2 years for the next IAA.

Today I traveled to this Biergarten for lunch. It had been recommended and today was perfect Biergarten weather so it seemed like a good day to try it out.
I've been to lots of Biergaerten, and usually I try the roast chicken or the Haxe since those are two traditional Biergarten offerings. Today I tried the Haxe, and I have to say it was outstanding! Moist and tender, cooked perfectly, and the sauce was fantastic.
As I understand it, the beer is brewed by the family that operates the Biergarten, and it is extremely good, even in comparison with the outstanding Munich beers (and this is far enough outside Munich that the price is reasonable, 6.20 euro for a liter as compared with over 9 euro in Munich). Price obviously is subject to change.
The staff was welcoming, gracious, and helpful, always a plus.
It was well worth the trip on the S-7 for a treat like this. I highly recommend it.

I visited this typical inn with my wife and daughter at irregular intervals. While the schnitzel was OK, the quality of the roast beef and side dishes left a lot to be desired. The service was also lackluster. The beer was OK as always...

Wir bedauern es, dass wir mit unserem Essen nicht Ihren Geschmack getroffen haben. Bitte sprechen Sie beim nächsten Mal direkt unsere Kollegen vor Ort an, damit wir Ihnen wenn gewünscht ein anderes Gericht bringen können.
Die Küche im Bräustüberl ist deftig und vielleicht sogar ein bisserl derb. Die Gerichte sind meist einfach, die Portionen reichlich. Zahlreiche Gäste kommen genau aus diesem Grund hierher.
Vielleicht dürfen wir Sie beim nächsten Mal im gegenüberliegenden Brauereigasthof und dem dortigen Wirtsgarten begrüßen, in dem wir Sie ebenfalls mit unserem Ayinger Bier und mit regionaler, feiner Küche verwöhnen.

We have been coming to the Bräustüberl and the restaurant opposite for years and are always very satisfied with the drinks, food, service and atmosphere. Even when it is very busy, the staff are always polite and attentive. You are also greeted personally from time to time by Ms Inselkammer or Mr Hollweck in the restaurant and Mr Moosbauer in the Bierstüberl/beer garden, and you can also express criticism, whether positive or negative, in a short conversation. For us, this is one of the best restaurants.

So, I came to visit Aying as I have a weißbier glass from here back at home in the UK!
After a nice and easy walk from the S-Bahn, past the Ayinger Privatbrauerei (which smelled heavenly) I decided to habe lunch in the Braustueberl.
I sat inside, and was warmly welcomed by a lovely waitress, who spoke excellent English.
I decided to have the Schweinsbraten with a emmelknödel and a weißbier. Oh my days!!
Now I've lived in Munich for a number of years in the past, but this schweinsbraten blew me away. The pork was so tender, not dry at all, and the crackling was perfect. Woth a tasty semmelknödel on the plate, surrounded by darkbiersauce, I thought I had literally gone to Heaven.
Really a PERFECT couple of hours spent here. The sun was out, the biergatden is.not too big.
Keep it up - I will definitely.be coming back for more when I next visit.

No warning when we booked that the restaurant was being renovated !!
We arrived as a group of seven for our Saturday evening meal fully expecting our usual great evening.
First surprise was that the restaurant was being renovated and we had to go next door - OK, would have been nice to be told when we reserved our table. Place next door was full and we were lucky to have a table on the side away from the blinding spot lights.
Our next surprise was that there was a limited menu. Again no warning given when we booked our table. This proves a challenge for our party member who eats only gluten free and usually has no problem finding something on the usual menu.
The food we ordered was tasty and the service when the evening moved on and became less full became friendly.
It would be nice to be warned of what’s happening as we book - just to be open.

Delicious food in reasonable time with friendly service.
I had paid and only found out when I booked the bill that 4 instead of 3 foods had been bonbonboned. I received the money back without any problems. Respect and thanks for the mutual trust

We wanted to have a drink with friends and then eat with three people. The first waiter showed us a round table. We had a drink. Suddenly a second waiter came and said that the table was reserved and was unable to organize anything, so we left. He didn't care and was very unfriendly.
