We stayed in the three star hotel for one night eating dinner in the two Michelin star restaurant. The hotel room was very good, nice design, more spacious than many 5 star establishments we’ve stayed in. Quiet, comfortable. Lovely bathroom with good products. Tea and...coffee making facilities. Extra duvets. Good heating, air conditioning and wi fi. The restaurant was wonderful. I am not generally a great fan of tasting menus, preferring to decide what I might eat, but we went for the 6 course menu and every mouthful was lovely - beautifully presented, imaginative, well explained by the staff, tasty, colourful, seasonal and local. The chef, Christopher Hay, came to each table, which we found to be charming and different courses were presented by different staff, making a real connection between kitchen and clients. The ‘garden’ from which much of the produce comes is less than 100 metres from the restaurant. The fish comes, not from the sea, but from local rivers. What else can I say ? A great experience which we hope to repeat. Best wishes and thanks to all the staff in their current restaurant and any new ventures.More

The food was delicious, a wonderful tour of local specialities with excellent presentation. Each course was well balanced, great textures and flavours. We particularly enjoyed the atmosphere, which was more informal than expected. Christophe came to the table to take our order himself. He has...a really lovely character and made us felt at ease and respected. This is reflected in his staff as well, who are incredibly professional and clearly take pride in their work while remaining very personable. A fantastic experience, and highly recommended!More

My wife and I stayed at Maison a cote in May 2014 and had a pleasantly surprisingly amazing dinner at the restaurant. Chef Christophe had recently purchased the place and we had a lovely conversation about food and his time in New York. I remember...telling him that his food is Michelin Star worthy and I am so happy to see that he has 2 Michelin start. Some day I will be back to indulge in his amazing gastronomical delight again. Congrats chef. Wish the best for the 3rd star and for making it to #7 on this list.More

It is now our second time coming here. As with the first experience, this diner was one to remember and cherish. Quick service, perfect staff, delectable food. If you are an amateur of white wine, I do recommend "brin de chevre"

The presentation was incredible and the taste nothing short of magnificent. They made a special menu for kids which was just as tasty as the regular menu. The pike was delicious and we also loved their carrot sauce. It was a lovely atmosphere excellently decorated....The beef that the kids had was phenomenal and the excellent chef that made the food made several visits to our and also signed a cookbook we bought at the end of our meal.More

This restaurant is truly a unique place and experience. Starting from its decor finishing with the food, all is elevated to the artistic form of expression. Food is masterfully plated, scrumptious and imaginative. Fish creations are the highlight of the whole experience but only until...all desserts are being served. I have to admit that sometimes a Pastry Chef was shining brighter than all others, which can be both - a star being born within the team but, also, a factor which imbalances the whole experience. After few bites of desserts fish quickly fades away from the memory. The only part, which I found, was unnecessary was the Wagyu, which, while sumptuously delicate and subtle, was rather bland comparing to anything else - especially two fish dishes which preceded it. Service and the whole team is extremely harmonious, professional, attentive and welcoming which made the entire experience even more spectacular and unique. All in all, this place rightfully deserves two Michelin stars but if Christophe is aiming for three, he would need to take the weight off the confection section and let his colours shine more in the main section to prove his creations are, and will be, truly unforgettable!More

Having been in the area twice now, I am absolutely sure that this is clearly the best restaurant there and probably even one of the best in the whole of France. Christophe Hay offers beautiful dishes, amazing combinations and really exceptional service. All courses are...works of art and, taking into account the outstanding quality, prices are definitely appropriate.More

We were privileged to have given the chef's table to observe the creation of fine cuisine by Christophe Hay and his team. The whole experience was worthwhile and made us feel so welcome. We loved the delicious items selected on the menu and paired with...excellent wines. It was our second time at La Maison d'a Cote and we have enjoyed the experience yet again. Two more visits to La Maison d'a Cote. One in April 2019 and one in November 2019. We are already looking forward to eating there again in April 2020. This restaurant is top class all the way. Elegant dining room, fabulous food, a wine list...with something for every budget. We make sure to visit this restaurant every time we are in France, even if we have to drive hours out of our way to dine there. It is a gourmet's treat. Attention to detail and explosive flavors accompany every dish. From the butter salted with caviar, to the fish with bits of pollen that poof in your mouth, to chicken (Geline) with savory dumpling. A degustation (tasting menu) as it should be: intense, flavorful, small yet filling. More than enough for those with a big appetite.More

It’s a very rare occasion to dine in such a highly reputed establishment so I was extremely excited at the prospect. From the moment you push the door you have the feeling that this is going to be something special. It goes without saying that...the service and welcome are beyond reproach. The staffs mastery of English was superb. I allowed the sommelier to choose from the humongous wine list, I was not dissapointed . The dishes were beautifully presented and were interspersed with delightful amuse bouches. I had Foie Gras, Wagyu steak, my friends had a wild duck pie followed by Hare. All sumptuously presented. The evening was superb yet both my wife and felt slightly underwhelmed. This is a two star Michelin restaurant no less. You cannot fault the meal yet some how apart from the presentation the dishes we both ate just didn’t have the »Wow” factor that we were expecting from such a famous establishment. Everything was faultless but yet.........!More
