If you are looking for the most unique and perfect wedding venue in the Westcoast, this is most definitely it! We received wonderful service from Aletta and Kobus right from the get go of booking and planning our wedding day. Nothing was ever too much...for them and we welcomed all their suggestions and attentiveness to our requests. Planning a long distance wedding is never easy, but we had peace of mind every step of the way as we know they have been doing weddings at their venue for a very long time. There was only one down part and that was that we could not choose all the items on their oh so wonderful buffet selection list, the food was to die for and I am still dreaming about the amazing chocolate pudding! Our guests are all still raving about the delicious food and the wonderful service, and believe me no one left hungry! It was a most perfect day and I would not choose it any other way. Thank you so much to the entire team at the Bosduifklip as well as Aletta & Kobus for making our day incredible and unforgettable! We wish you many blessings and well wishes for the future.More

We had dinner here one night and man was this a winner! The spread that was on the tables is just ridiculous its from crayfish, fish, calamari, paella, bread, sweet patato, lam roast, rice and too much too mention. This places location is built into a rock its just stunning with old...wooden tables and chairs and this huge fireplace that warms up the whole restaurant. The people that work there is so friendly and always tell a joke or two. You can bring your own wine if you feel like it.More

You can’t improve on Mother Nature and She is truly the heroine of this very very beautiful place. We attended a fabulous wedding there and I was utterly charmed. One just can’t get over the clever and innovative use of a massive and monumental rock-...formation into which this venue has seamlessly assimilated itself. The timelessness and the feeling of being connected to the universe is simply wonderful. Rocks and stars and people you love. What more can you ask for? I’ll tell you. The food was ok, nothing spectacular, but not too bad. The lamb on a spit was served late and slowly,... after you had eaten a lot of bread from sheer hunger. The restauranteer was abrasive, controlling and downright rude, which was a bit of a pity. Our wedding party rose above that and chose to enjoy the fabulous company and the awe-inspiring setting ... a memorable wedding indeed.More

What a long journey from Hermanus to Lambert's Bay for a wedding. But it was well worth it. What a beautiful venue, with the ceremony out in the open in the afternoon and the moonlit celebrations there after. Jobs and his time provided a spread...that will long be remembered.More

We attended a wedding here last weekend. The wedding service was conducted in a field on the premises. Afterwards, the reception took place in the open air restaurant, situated next to an impressive cliff. The buffet was extensive, consisting mainly of various seafood dishes and...a variety of fish. A good time was had by all. However, one had to sit on a stool made out of a log, on top of which was a thin cushion and this proved to be a bit trying on one's posterior after a few hours. Although it had been a warm summer's day, it got pretty chilly as the night wore on. A very interesting experience and certainly a wedding with a difference.More

Off the beaten track in a magical setting between huge rocks. Loved learning some of the history of the place. The owner is very proud of his farm but was a little intrusive during wedding preparations. The food was a highlight! Great "plaas" hospitality in...general. No frills or fuss but good fun and something different.More

I attended a wedding at this venue in December 2016 and was absolutely stunned at how beautiful it is. From the road and entering the premises, one cannot imagine what lies behind the rock formation. The reception is held next to the massive rock and...it makes you feel like you are inside a cave, except you have splendid views of the West Coast and an amazing view of the setting sun. The fairy lights and hanging lanterns gave an extra romantic ambiance. The food was a West Coast buffet with numerous choices of fresh seafood. Three different snoek dishes, seafood pot, freshly home-baked bread and jams, so many salads and a lamb spit. The team attending to guests was extremely friendly and helpful. This venue is so completely different from the last few weddings I've been to. If you are in the market for a rustic, off-the-beaten-track venue, go for this one!More

We visited Bosduifklip expecting something totally different, however, we had a good afternoon at the restaurant. This is a VERY rustic venue of which every stone (except the really big one) was laid by Mr. Engelbrecht, the proprietor of the venue himself... No frills or...bells and whistles. Mrs. Engelbrecht does the cooking, and I think this is the primary reason for Bosduifklip's successful existence. The food is excellent in every aspect and Mrs. Engelbrecht does a great job in making the guests feel very welcome to their venue. A few notes: - this is not a restaurant you can just drive up to. You need to book in advance as the restaurant only opens once they reach a minimum level of bookings (I think 15 people); - Bosduifklip is situated inland and is not another Muisbosskerm like restaurant situated on the beach; - There is little to no mobile phone coverage (not that you should need it if you are there, but for doctors etc can be important); - The food and drink is great value for money; In conclusion I would recommend visiting this restaurant/venue with a big group of friends for a good West Coast time with good food and probably quite a bit to drink. If you don't like rustic, this is not for you.More
