When all others stop baking pizza because the power is down again, this pizzeria has no issue as they use a wood fired pizza oven. We were hesitant to go in ad there were no other customers, but we had an excellent thin pizza crust...and it was very tasteful.More

We ordered some fried shrimp and the waiter brought us an extra plate of fries we did not order and wanted us to pay for it. We refused and he started shouting at us. He then took the leftover food wrapped for us to go...as we could not finish it and sorted the extra fries out and gave us some back some shrimps. We refused it. Very unhygienic and unprofessional. It was the worst service we have ever received at a restaurant in Jambiani.More

Food definitely below avarage (taste and likely simply warmed just before serving), plus not on the cheap side. Overall fair ambiance and service.

Very nice owners who speak multiple languages. The food is amazing with always some fresh fish available that the owners catch by themselves. Overall, a very cozy place that I definitely recommend to anyone wishing to spend some good time in Zanzibar

We have been to blue reef sport for a dinner. The food was very good, but the size of dishes was small and they tried to overcharge with drinks. We had many problems paying with credit card even if they guaranteed it was possible. The...worst was the attitude and sarcastic jokes by the Datch owner. Place is nice with possibility to play pool and soccer-pool. Chose this place if you are looking for good food and if you are prepared for arguing in case of payment issues.More

We were not expecting this high level cuisine in Jambiani... it was beautiful... king fish in a Thai sauce and prime beef in red wine sauce... both meals are recommended! The restaurant is nicely furnished and the service was great too. Hopefully we’ll get to...visit again before we leave as the menu is different each day.More

Came here based on TripAdvisor, the location, view and atmosphere is spot on and perfect for a drink. However, we ordered lunch, a fish burger and the calamari. The fish burger was mediocre and chips were slightly undercooked. The calamari was hard with a soft...batter (as if it was reheated), it did not come with any sauce without me asking for mayonnaise. When asked how the food was I passed on my comments, as I had not eaten much of it the waiter offered to make it crispier. As I knew that another dip in the fryer would only make it harder, I asked for something else on the menu, the caesar salad. The waiter took the calamari away and agreed to change it. A few minutes later he returned asking us to pay for both the calamari (20k sh) and caesar salad(15k sh)! We said that we were not going to pay for both but would be happy to pay 20k sh for the salad. He agreed and left. Another few minutes later the waiter returned with the chef. At this point my husband had long finished his burger and I had no food. They tried to tell us that that was how calamari should be to try and get us to pay for both the calamari and the salad. We had a fruitless argument with the chef that calamari should not be hard and chewy with a soft soggy batter. At this point I had had enough and told them not to bother with either the calamari or salad, that we would pay for the burger and the drinks and leave. This was also an issue and they claimed that they had started the salad, in which case I do not know why the chef was out of the kitchen arguing with us about calamari. I dont necessarily agree that the customer is always right but I was polite and honest when asked, in return my patience was tested. If you do not want to know what people think about the food, then dont go around asking.More

Six of us (3 couples) came twice during a recent holiday for pre-dinner appetizers and cocktails on the beach. The beach bar is lovely and staffed by friendly, attentive young folks. The food was very good, and the cocktails well-crafted. Music was lively, but not...too loud to interfere with chatting. The surrounding area was outfitted with comfortable lounging furniture and, of course, a great view of the ocean. Was a very nice place to spend a couple of hours.More

Definitely not the best option to eat and sleep when in Jambiani. There are much better places around. Staff is very slow and not always friendly. Quit busy with there own telephones and friends. For example: when you book a taxi you don't get the...best and safest driver, but the one who's there friend and give them the best commission. Rooms are very poor, simple and old. In desparate need of a renovation.More

We were here several times during our vacation, everything we had here was very tasty: tropical salad, sailfish & avocado salad, fried fish, burger, crab, desserts. Service is also great: they give you lemon water to wash hands in the end, waiters are nice and...attentive. Location is in the middle of Jambiani beach just near the sea. Also they have cozy sofas at the bar - first and second floors. Prices are moderate comparable to other restaurants nearby on the first line. Definetely one of the best places in Jambiani.More
