At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located at Spean Bridge station where the Commandos began their training during the Second World War. Relax beside the fire in our public bar and enjoy local real ales. We are the only bar in the village serving real ale on draught. We also have a good selection of malt whisky, Scottish gins and wine. We have a gluten-free menu which is available on request. Children are very welcome ... And we even have a special menu for the wee ones! Our Bar is open

Entering on a cold, wet evening into a cosy atmosphere, an open fire and a warm welcome. The meals were very good in every respect and the Staff friendly and efficient.

This place is in a nice location. The food was not great, the Balmoral chicken was way too spicy and almost convinced the sauce was ready bought in. Red cabbage over cooked and was almost a pale burgundy colour. The calamari was supposed to be...dusted with flour and deep fried and the coating was twice as thick and the calamari. The steaks were off the menu as no delivery this weekend. We thought we would have an Irish coffee, no freshly ground coffee on the premises, only instant. 😱🙈 The saving grace for the evening was the staff. The two ladies who served us drinks and food were exceptional and extremely helpful and friendly and a hive asset to the place. Don’t let them go for goodness sake,More

Hi Chris3657! I’ll take this one, point by point today, if that’s alright with you of course. You mustn’t be convinced by your own admission that our sauce is bought in, however the ingredients that we use to make our sauce are: so you can...More

Lovely location on train station platform. Delicious food and very friendly staff. Good value for money. Book in advance to guarantee a table.

We popped in to the old station restaurant for some drinks and maybe a bite to eat. The place was full but the lady who greeted us very kindly directed us to a table where the people were just leaving. We were content to just...have drinks, since we could see how busy the place was, but were told a bit later on, that the kitchen could squeeze us in for some food which was much appreciated. My partner had the steak and said it was great. I had the macaroni and it was equally good. So good we booked for another night and I had the same! The staff were brilliant, friendly and chatty, despite being extremely busy! If we’re back this way, this will definitely be our first port of call. Highly recommended!More

Menu easy to find (+download) on Google, but changes to reflect season and what quality stuff is available at market, which is always a good sign. Choice is relatively modest but carefully constructed to give enough variety in both starters and mains. £25-£30 a head...including wine. Couple of mains specials on the night too... We had an excellent meal! ...but remember to book and, while it's not noisy, go early evening if you specifically want to be quiet.More

Dogs seem to be allowed in the bar and the beer garden of course, but not the restaurant.

I had dinner there last year. They do online bookings I think, and not open every day.
