My husband and I took our son, daughter in law and the 2 small children to lunch at this charming restaurant while we were enjoying an Umbrian villa holiday. Everything was absolutely delicious! We ate family style and so got a taste of everything. The...beef with the balsamic vinegar gravy was a stand out. Service was outstanding and they were very tolerant of our two wee grandchildren. After another 10 days in Italy, we looked back and decided it was our best restaurant meal during our entire holiday in Italy! We can highly recommend this restaurant.More

We traveled to Trevi by train, and arrived tired and hungry. Our first meal in this beautiful area was at La Locanda di Fanfaluca. We ordered an appetizer that looked like a winged angel, the prosciutto standing up on the goat cheese, appeared to be...wings. It was served in a bed of cherry tomatoes. It was mouthwateringly good. I ordered tortelloni panna e tartufo, as after all, we are in the middle of the truffle region. It was wonderful. There was not a crumb left on my plate. We had to try out their tiramisu, which was a work of art on the plate. Incredible. We went to dinner early about 7:30 pm.,and we were the only diners there, but as we finished about 9:15 pm., the place was packed with locals. We were the only tourists, which is always a good sign. Do not miss this incredible dining adventure.More

This restaurant is loved by locals. It offers regional favorites, but also fresh seafood on Fridays/weekends - not easy to find in Umbria! Service is friendly, food is delicious, and the place is generally full of locals - for good reason! If you are looking...for a great lunch environment, well-prepared and tasty food, good service, and excellent wine, visit La Locanda. You'll easily find it by all the cars out front! Highly recommended.More

What a fantastic authentic restaurant. We arrived, a group of 21, just 30 min after calling for a reservation and they looked after us like royalty. They have a comprehensive menu but as a large group we chose a number of starters to share and...a mixture of 3 or 4 main courses to not put too much pressure on the kitchen. The pork special, a complete rib bone was incredible. To close off we had tiramisu which was constructed at the table, just so unique and clever. We stayed in the area for a week and dined here three times.More

The church bells ring, and the warm terrace is delightful. The food is very good although quite upmarket for Umbria. The service is charming. We sat out in the warm evening an felt very relaxed and looked after. The atmosphere, especially in the summer, is...all you could wish for. The food exceptional and delivered very elegantly. It's perfect if you search for fine dining with good Umbrian fare. A wonderful evening and the guests raved about the value and the tastiness.More

Lovely location and very suggestive inside and out. As soon as we were seated we were presented with prosecco and these divine croquettes made from farro. Service was excellent and the wait staff were very attentive. Food was superb. We will definitely go back again!

We ate here after a wonderful dinner down the road the night before. We figured it was going to be average. I love to be wrong and this restaurant is 5 stars no doubt!! We were greeted warmly a quickly shown to a great outdoor...table by Elena, who spoke nice English. In seconds we were presented with a nice glass of Prosecco which started the happy process for us. Water and a great bread quickly followed. Elena brought Sandro to our table shortly after we put our menus down. Sandro was great! He was proprietor, mater de, expediter and sommelier all in one. We ordered the Fanfaluca starter for two, Jason got the Papperadelli with white veal Ragu and shaves parmesano , while I got the gnocchi Gorgonzola. The main would be a 1kg Fiorentina steak cooked on a wood fired outside grill, along with grilled veggies and potatoes. All that was accompanied by a fantastic 2010 100% Sagrentino di Montefalco from the LeClimete vineyard that was properly decanted on the table. For dessert we shared a wonderful millefoglie assembled table-side. Fantastic. It was all wonderful. We have had a great experience here in Umbria, I only hope that Toscano is half as good. Grazie Sandro and all your staff!!! Buon Lavoro!!!More

We only ate here because the restaurant we were looking for on the back roads to Trevi was closed. This was the first one we saw that was open. We couldn't tell it was a restaurant and only decided it was because of the cars...parked around it during lunch time. There were only three tables occupied. No one spoke English but that wasn't a problem. For 58 Euros, we had bruschetta with truffle, prosciutto and mozzarella. My husband had tagliatelle with veal ragu. I have ravioli with truffle. The pasta was excellent and obviously homemade. We had a glass each of a Montelfalco red wine. My husband has millefoglie for dessert and I had the Sicilian cannolo. The desserts were wonderful.More
