We stumbled across this restaurant on a very quiet winter day in Trevi. The celery pesto is apparently a local speciality, and is one of the things I'll most remember from our entire week in Italy. Service was friendly and lovely. Definitely recommend eating here...if you're in Umbria.More

If you come to Trevi and you are longing for a good meal, don’t hesitate. In ristorante Maggiolini you will find what you are looking for: excellent food, well prepared and served with a big smile. And the best is still to come. You will...get value for money. We had a bruschette (a large one) with trota and a green salsa. A very nice start. We continued with strangozzi all Spoletana (tomato, garlic and peperoncini). The primi was followed by a sea bass (branzino). A wondefull finale: canollo, nonna’s way. The ricotta was less flavoured with sugar, so taste was more authentic. We had the opportunity to eat outside, but when there is no place left outside, find yourself a nice table in the restaurant. You will not regrett. We had white wine, housewine. This was quiet amazing: the landlady served us a very good wine from Le Marche. I’ll find my way back to restaurant Maggiolini. We had a nice pranzo in Trevi.More

One of my favourite restaurants in Trevi, Valter is an impassioned chef, always coming up with new takes on traditional Umbrian fare. However, his fish dishes are the best. It is rare to find excellent fish in Umbria - here you will find a whole...menu dedicated to it. Yum! GF options are also plentiful. Patrizia and Valter were already excellent when they ran the Fonti restaurant down in the valley, they have reinvented themselves in Trevi, a very welcome & successful addition.More

Visited twice during our stay and chose it for the last meal. Highlight probably the Trout Carpaccio but everything was tasty, superbly cooked and reasonably priced. Also recommend the Sicilian Grillo-Viognier. The place is a real gem! Go Patrizia!

Delicious food (we had trout / spaghetti alle vongole veraci) at very reasonable prices, great location just off the main square with a shady terrace on a quiet street. Pleasant, efficient service. In short, exactly what we were hoping for and we will definitely return.

Located down a narrow and quiet side street away from the main piazza (and the heat of the lunchtime sun) this is a little treasure we felt lucky to stumble across. Local trout with salsa verde bruschetta was an inspired start and followed by spaghetti...vongole with cherry tomatoes and a generous helping of clams: simple and totally delicious. The waitress (and owner?) was friendly and helpful and got the food to us in good order. Between her limited English and my poor Italian we managed very well. Would definitely return.More

My husband and I visited Maggiolini to find a good place to eat in Trevi. We heard about it from a friend and decided to check it out. We heard there was an extensive fish menu but were surprised to find fish, seafood and various...types of meat dishes. Despite the heat, we ate indoors even though there was a lovely outdoors eating area. The inside was not hot but were pleasantly greeted with linen tablecloths and nicely appointed tables and chairs covered as if ready for a wedding. The lovely hostess explained the menu and made recommendations for which we were very grateful. Although we were ready to order melon and prosciutto, she told us that it was available almost anywhere in Umbria and that their specialties included a marinated trout with a special sauce and also special cheeses with a particular sweet celery salsa. We tried both of them and were not at all disappointed. The trout was lightly marinated, tender and delicious. The cheeses from Norcia were out of this world. There were 2, one young and one caved for 12 months. The second one melted in your mouth and you dreaded when the last piece was gone. I ordered a sesame crusted tuna which was lightly pan fried and tender while my husband had a veal fillet with a truffle sauce which was delicate and delicious. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. The best is saved for the last. I ordered the cannolis and my husband the cassata. He grew up in Guatemala having cassata, one of the traditional Sicilian desserts, almost every Sunday. We have been looking for this dessert for about 35 years. Who knew we would find it in Umbria, not Sicily (where we have been and they were not to his liking.). It was light with just the right amount of candied fruit and nuts in this semifreddo style chunk of heaven. Wow! The cannoli shell was tender and fell apart with the first bite while the cream was not too sweet and not too thick. The ends were coated in crushed pistachio nuts. I grew up in the east and had many really good cannolis but this was a great cannoli. Ahh. Then there was coffee. What a wonderful lunch and we plan to return to sample the rest of the menu. We saw some plates of clams and pasta and mussels and pasta and then just some mussels go past us. So, There is more to be discovered for us. You need to check this out. If you think Trevi doesn’t have a lot to offer, you need to come here. You will love the hostess and the chef and they are so accommodating, like family. Also, the price is right! I left feeling related to them.More

Patricia and Walter continue to provide delicious food. They are delightful hosts. The menu is full of choice, fresh local ingredients inventively prepared. Fish is always good whether cooked or presented as carpaccio. Their house white, an intriguing blend of Viognier and Grillo from Sicily...is delicious. Every time we come to this area we make a point to dine at La Magiolini.More

We visited Trevi and decided to stop for dinner. This restaurant is near the main square. Really good, local food, accommodating host and excellent value for money. Try the trout and the celery!
