I was fortunately taken to dinner by someone who knew Maurizio well. I thought the antipasti would never stop coming - all totally delicious. Amazing home-made pasta, delicious pork as secondi piatti and great gelato all finished off with superb coffee and wonderful home-made limoncello....Could not have asked for more - actually could probably not have eaten more! Terrific evening.More

Grazie Francislambert della bellissima valutazione e recensione...a presto!!!
I am a long time customer of this place, which is always a guarantee. The food is simply great: you'll get to sample tens of different examples of local cuisine, including home-made bread for bruschetta with local olive oil, pasta with truffle...my favourites are the...toasted mortadella and the bruschetta with sausage and spinach. Everything is at the same time simple but delicious. Definitely worth the detour...or just the trip from Rome.More

Grazie della bellissima recensione
Some of the best food I have ever tasted and I don't take this statement lightly. Definitely a must visit - not only is the food extremely abundant, it is also the best value for money meal you will ever have.

Thanks for the beautiful review
If you are traveling to Trevi, do not miss Ristorante L'Ulivo. Everything we read about this lovely restaurant is true and more. We were a group of three ladies staying here at the L'Ulivo Albergo, and we ate here on our last night in Trevi....(Be sure you make reservations, as it was obvious by the full tables, that the locals love Maurizio and his fine cooking, just as much as the tourists.) We were barely seated, when the waitress asked our wine preferences, and out came the bottle of red, and it never stopped flowing for the next two hours. We enjoyed 20 plus courses that evening for 28 euros per person. (I brought a pad and pen to copy down each course.) We loved the goat cheese slice with truffles on top.....you are in the heart of olive oil and truffle country in Trevi. A succulent wedge of mortadella with a pistachio on top was one of my favorite courses. The veal with salsa verde and gorgonzola was lovely. But, my favorite was the ravioli with ricotta and shaved truffle on top. Maurizio, the owner of the restaurant and our chef, came by the table to shave that truffle onto our ravioli. I finished my meal with a cream limoncello, which was a new treat to me. As we are enjoying each course, we can see directly into Maurizio's kitchen where he labors over his wood burning oven, preparing each course and plating it up. This was a most memorable dining adventure, and if you travel to Trevi, stay at Maurizio's Albergo and be sure to eat here!More

I am pleased that you will find yourself well in our hotel and in our restaurant.
Thanks to the beautiful review
We originally found this wonderful restaurant a few years ago, before they offered rooms and when the present owners father ran it. We thought the food, service, ambience and general welcoming atmosphere was wonderful. We visited again a few years later, when the present owner,...the son of the original man, was running the business. We were delighted to find that he was continuing to maintain the very highest standards.
Now, after several years we have returned, to find that L'Ulivo was even better than we had expected. The food was just as brilliant, fresh, imaginative and unpretentious as before, the staff just as warm and welcoming, and now they have excellent first class accommodation, with pool and hot tub as well! Very reasonable prices and a genuinely warm welcome means we will be returning again.More

A great place to visit and show friends a very friendly side of Umbria. Restaurant L'ulivo only offers a set menu with over 20 different courses, red and white wine, liquor, coffee and dolce (dessert). My problem with this menu unfortunately was that there was...not one particular stand out course (nothing memorable anyway). It consisted of a lot of bread and cheese and by the end everybody at our table was extremely full. At 27.50p/p euro for dinner I thought it was not good value for money. So I would only return it they made the menu more interesting and use that beautiful wood fire oven and stove for more than just bread. (some BBQ meat could have been included at this price). You must book in advance for lunch and dinner.More

We read about this place on Tripadvisor and thought it sounded like an Umbrian extravaganza and so tried to get in without a booking one Sunday.
That was impossible. They were fully booked.
So a few days later we booked for the following Sunday and...were so glad we persisted. We were told to arrive at 1pm which we did at the same time all of the other guests were arriving. We were shown to our table which was for our family of four which I was pleased about because I was worried that we might be put on a communal table as all the other groups seemed to be large family groups.
We sat down to discover a bottle of white and a bottle of red already waiting for us and then we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We asked for both and got two large bottles brought to the table.
The atmosphere was great, very traditional, rustic and cosy although it was a big venue, and jammed packed with patrons.
Then we started! OMG we had a selection of maybe 11 antipasti 2 or 3 primi 2 mains, selections of vegetables and 4 desserts.
Some of the dishes were not to our liking but that's okay because it was great to try them all and there were so many that we absolutely loved including the grilled mortadella - a taste sensation!
Well, the food just kept coming. Beautifully timed and sometimes we were even asked if we wanted seconds of some of the dishes.
We were stunned when we finished a bottle of wine only to have it replaced without asking.
The standard of the food was wonderful, the service efficient and friendly and the atmosphere spot-on.
When we finished our meal we were then asked if we wanted coffee and liqueurs!
On getting up and waddling out the door the owner/host wished us goodbye and the myself and my daughter were presented with a long-stemmed rose, as were all the other female diners. A fabulous touch!
Thank you for a brilliant experience!More

Mi fa piacere che il nostro menù a degustazione vi sia piaciuto e che abbiate apprezzato anche l'omaggio floreale
My wife discovered this gem on a chef's travel blog. We had to work into our itinerary based on his glowing review. An authentic local feast of 24 courses for 26 Euros, including wine, tax and gratuity?! It was a marvellous culinary exploration provided by...warm, knowlegable proprietors. You gotta try it.More
