The fish was fresh, the taco (octopus) not overly chewy/sliced thinly; toppings were extra so it ended up more expensive than I first thought it would cost. Still, it was very tasty and they did have gluten free soy sauce! Very little seating so keep that in mind. Good place to take away and eat at the beach! I would definitely get food there again.

Usually busy but the line moves quickly. There are pictures on the window giving you the names of the basic offerings. But they walk you through the creation of your dish. First you choose a bowl size medium $10, then you choose the fish 4 types, then you choose the sauce and other additions.

It is busy but they are super efficient. You order the size of the bowl (medium), then the type of sauce (number 1 spicy) then the fish (marlin) and finally the type of rice (brown) - by the time we had paid and collected our chop sticks our bowls were ready. $10 a bowl was a bargain and we enjoyed sitting outside where there are a small number of tables to share and eating our very tasty lunch.

This may have been the best poke I've ever had. It was incredible! They recommended the spicy wasabi + teriyaki sauces and it did not disappoint. Next time I'm in Honolulu I will definitely be back. SO good!

We walked by it after tour so we decided t order Poke bowls before walking back to our hotel. Our small Poke bowls were about $17 and that was a small bowl. It was popular and crowded. There was no room to eat so we had to go back to our hotel to eat. We never went back after that one trip! I was not impressed.

Across the road from my mates hotel this Poke specialist often has a queue extending into the street but it is worth the wait. The popularity also guarantees the fish is fresh. Medium supreme was my choice and it did not disappoint - for $15 (includes the $2 tip) it was a great lunch prepared after you order. Rice base, tuna, salmon, marlin, spicy dressing, seaweed & cucumber salad and endamame beans

I have a gluten allergy and was so relieved to find a takeout restaurant that has gluten - free options! The cashier was super nice and told me to order a poke bowl with either their Hawaiian or Shoyu sauce, which are both gluten-free. I ordered a salmon poke bowl with both sauces tossed in, and added edamame and avocado to it. It was delicious! I will definitely come back again! Thanks for the wonderful service, Maguro Spot!

We went to Maguro Spot tonight for dinner. It was not a restaurant we knew but we saw the long line outside yesterday and the staff at our hotel highly recommended it. I thought it would be nice, but I was wrong, it was amazing. Easily the best poke we have had. You could tell that the fish was very fresh as were all the ingredients. I would be happy going back tomorrow and having the same dish (Spicy2 Marlin) and my son said the same about a different dish (Rainbow bowl Salmon). We will definitely be back and strongly recommend giving it a try.

This small cafe was located quite near our hotel and we decided one evening to get some takeaway and eat in our condo. Its a small cafe with only a few tables and chairs. We decided to try some Hawaiian Poke for the first time. For those not familiar with Poke it is diced raw fish served with salads and dressings of your choice so may not be for everyone. It is one of the main dishes of Native Hawaiian cuisine. I had the mixed raw fish with wasabi dressing, macadamia nuts and avocado as the extras. It was super fresh and absolutely delicious. You must try this dish.

You definitely need to come here early in your trip because you will want to come back! There will most likely be a line but it moves quickly and we’ll worth it. I got the small size and wished I got the large and I wasn’t even hungry. The spicy Mayo and the teriyaki sauce together is the way to go!! Tuna and salmon were sold out so it forced me to get the marlin and I’m glad it did. Caught fresh that day! Soo good!

We were in Honolulu for less than 24 hours, but we ended up having poke twice. We went to Maguro Brothers the prior evening. I went at opening time here to pick up poke to go to the airport. We ordered the smaller size (only $10) and ended up wishing that we chose the larger size ($15, I believe). It sure beat airplane food or anything we could have purchased at the airport.

Visited with my wife who loves fish but has dairy and soy allergies which limit standard rest. fare. The staff was flexible and helpful in finding her a combo that she would enjoy (and she did). She came back a second meal.

We luckily arrived about an hour before they closed. The line was significant which let us know this was a good spot. Seems like where the locals go. The poke was delicious and so fresh. A lot of the dishes are quite simple, allowing you to focus on the freshness of the fish. Would definitely come back.

We heard great things about the Poke Bowls at Maguro Spot from other tourists, so we tried it out. Headed there early (5-ish) to avoid a line, we were met with a great selection of options on the menu. There are set Poke Bowls, or you can concoct your own. We did both and were not disappointed. Everything was so fresh, flavorful and bountiful, all at a great price. The staff was really friendly and made great suggestions.
