Because Backstreet Grill is located in a touristy area of the city, I expected food acceptable enough for just-passing-through folks to enjoy without complaint. We were shopping before an overnight at Los Poblanos Lavender Farm and stopped in for a quick lunch. I was blown...More

My first impression was negative. The restaurant was about one quarter full but there was no one seating the people waiting by the door. I was about to leave when a young woman came to the desk. We were quickly seated and drinks brought to...More

Backstreet Grill was our first introduction to New Mexican cuisine. We ordered the green chile street tacos with waffle fries. Though I thoroughly enjoyed the spiciness and the corn tortillas, the chicken was very dry. Unfortunately, this seemed to be a recurring issue on our...More

Here is a bar and grill where you can get Mexican and American style food and draft beers. The outdoor area is pleasant (even if the view is of the surrounding street). It's only a few blocks from the Old Town Plaza shops. Great fish...More

Wandered accidentally into this place originally and simply seeking out a nice cold beer which eventually turned into a sumptuous lunch Elected for a table outside but well shaded by one of the many colourful umbrellas and my lovely server recommended a stunning local Bosque...More

This is a southwestern restaurant with an energetic atmosphere, located just off the Historical Old Town plaza in Albuquerque. Be sure to ask for a patio seat if you can! The patio has a lovely view of green and sky to enjoy as you eat...More

Backstreet bar and grill is worth navigating to. It is off the main plaza a bit, as old town winds around, but don't let that deter you. The food was really fresh and interesting combinations. I had the duck tacos and my husband had the...More

We stopped into the Backstreet Grill for a late afternoon snack while visiting the adjacent Albuquerque Museum and Old Town. It's a good place for a pit stop, with a pleasant front terrace (if you don't mind the view of a parking lot) and plenty...More

Local draft beer selection was excellent. Had the duck tacos. My wife loved them; I thought they were fair and a bit pricey.

My fiancé and I ate there on a Saturday in Mid-May and had outdoor seating which was great. Highly recommend street tacos. Our waitress suggested that instead of each of us sampling a chicken vs beef taco she said we could both do a plate...More

Questions & Answers
Since I cannot respond to the management counter to my review I will answer this way. In New Mexico when I saw a Navajo Taco on the menu and ordered it with Green Chile I figured I was getting a New Mexico Dish. It was not even close to what I expected. The dish I received had no flavor and was more like a tasteless taco dish. My mistake but I was misled by the menu. The grilled cheese was a complete waste as well as it was a total grease sandwich. The Calamari was totally cooked to a crisp and like eating burnt whatever and I don't remember the other dish but you can see my issues. Then to top of the experience a server that was totally cocky did nothing more than take the order and never removed the dishes and maybe now you know why we won't be back. Your cuisine is your choice and that's no issue with me. Just like my choice is to never come back. So my question is is there valet parking?
