We had a beautiful lunch at Agriturismo Camiano Piccolo. The location is beautiful with vistas across the Umbrian landscape. The food was delicious; bruschetta, pasta, steak and panna cotta. Our hosts (Riccardo and his father) could not have been more helpful or gracious.

The food was consistently wonderful, the setting both rustic and elegant, the staff welcoming and thoughtful, and the wine always good. It seemed like we were given a true experience of the best in Italian cuisine.

We stayed at Agriturismo Camiano Piccolo for almost a week in early June, and thought it was wonderful. It's just outside the hill town of Montefalco in Umbria, and the setting is beautiful: surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards. The owner of this functioning farm...is a trained chef, so the food they serve is amazing. It appears to be a solely family-run operation, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. This place might be off the beaten track for most tourists in Italy, but it is well worth a stop and a protracted stay. The accommodations and service and food are all first-rate!More

My group stayed at Camiano Piccolo for 5 days in May, using it as a home base for day trips to the towns and sites in Umbria. Dinners were always excellent, prepared Italian-style with several courses. The buffet breakfast featured several types of fruit, fresh...breads and cereal, eggs, and selections of fresh pastry and coffee. The family has occupied this casual country setting for 25 generations. Vineyards and olive groves blend with the pastoral setting. There is a large outdoor pool in season and tables under grape arbor for warm Umbrian evenings. Rooms are located in a few outbuildings with a central dining room.More

The beautiful buildings are over 500 years old, and I'm told that they've been in the same family for 24 generations! The food and wine served here really show the love and care the family has for the produce of the region. Best Tiramisu I've...ever had.More

The door to this location has several trip advisor awards and there is a reason for that. Wine, food and being looked after in a setting where the building has connections to the past. The Food is prepared and presented by great staff who love...their job, the flavours of these dishes are a true reflection of Umbrian,Italian food cooked and practiced to perfection. A place where you can relax and enjoy the vista outside as well as inside. grazie mille, mi hai conquistato il cuoreMore

Mum and I had the great pleasure of staying at Camiano Piccolo for 11 nights. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay in a picturesque location. The estate is a cluster of 16th Century farmhouses located a short stroll from Montefalco. The owner & head chef Giuseppe...and his wife Simona were so warm and welcoming that we were made to feel like family. Giuseppe and his staff take great pride in the Umbrian food that they serve. The produce is fresh and is sourced locally. Their farm has vineyards and produces olives, figs, tomatoes, pomegranates, apples and vegetables for the restaurant. The dishes are delicious and generous in size. So many favourites - Antipasto della casa, stringozzi al tartufo or alle verdure, capellacci with ricotta and spinach, Giuseppe's veal with sagrantino wine, pork fillet and pollo are standouts. It was lovely dining outside in the evenings with a glass of local red wine. Please keep some room for dolci as the desserts were excellent. The Tortino al cioccololato was delicious - with its warm chocolate centre, so too the tiramisu and pannacotta. We had a wonderful cooking class with Giuseppe while we were there. It was so lovely to learn about cooking Umbrian food. He was a great chef and teacher and we enjoyed seeing the pride he has in the kitchen.Camiano Piccolo has a swimming pool with views of Umbria. Our room was clean and serviced daily.Camiano Piccolo is a great place to stay if you are looking to visit the towns in the area such as Montefalco, Spello, Spoletto, Assisi and Perugia. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to visit again.More
