This attractive restaurant is definitely deserving of a Michelin star rating. I had the red shrimp starter and the sea urchin risotto. Both were exceptional. Others in our party had seafood and pasta combination dishes and everyone loved their food. The service is very good...and there is an extensive wine list which includes both reasonably priced local wines and pricey, world class selections.More

Traveling throughout Italy the last 6 weeks has been amazing. But, nothing compares with this. Michelin got it right this time in selecting this well rounded experience to represent it’s reputation. Quintessenza is beautiful, unassuming, inviting, and best of all, serves unbelievably amazing food. Our...food selection was their Classici 2011-2021 menu, which takes you through their evolution from the opening of their restaurant until now, as well as the wine paring. Each dish and wine, pared with the explanation as to the inspiration, it’s background, ingredients and knowledgeable, courteous staff, exceeded expectation. From the beautiful presentation to the juggling of taste and textures, each dish contributed to an unimaginable experience. This restaurant is Paradise for foodies and lovers of amazing people who love what they do and the people they host.More

The food, the wine, the service, all was of the highest standard. The food lives up to it's Michelin star, the service was helpful and attentive but not too formal. We had a beautiful evening, topped off with meeting the chef and being shown round...the restaurant. It couldn't have been a nicer experience. Thank you.More

Called on short notice and initially were told that they were fully booked. As they had a cancellation, the manager called us back to accommodate us. We had the summer tasting menu which was beautifully laid out and every course a delight - the maitre...and the team were very attentive and happy to share their knowledge and enthusiasm about the food and wines. A most enjoyable eveningMore

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant! The food is just sublime: including the best tuna I have had for years. Staff and very attentive, helpful and welcoming. Although the restaurant is situated in a rather run-down part of Trani, and the views are somewhat restricted (until they open...the rooftop terrace), the interior is charming and sophisticated. And, for such an experience, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. If you're near Trani, and you want a special treat, don't miss Quintessenza. (NOTE: I give 5 stars only for the very best!)More

The food impeccable. The service really rare to find of such high standard yet not uncomfortably stiff. It makes Trani even more worth of a visit.

We stumbled across this restaurant and we were so happy we did. Beautiful decor, excellent service and amazing lunch. Three courses of delightful, amazing food finished with the chocolate cherry. Perfectly recommended wine. We can’t wait to return for dinner.

From the time of booking, you were made to feel important and valued . Reponses were prompt, information was accurate and Domenico even sent an updated copy of the autumn menu when it was available. The outside and decor is elegantly understated . The service...and food were absolutely out of this world. Especially loved the Ricotta tortelli in red shrimp and moscato bisque. Thank you to Di Gennaro brothers and staff. I thoroughly recommend. Deserve the Michelin Star.More
