This dinner was really romantic in a castle ambiance, the dishes are well prepared and the quality is very good. Tables are far from each other and the service is very professional. We enjoyed a lot and try to come back if we stop again...in Milan suburb.More

This restaurant is located in the beautiful Villa Toretta hotel. The food is wonderful and so is the wine list. Friendly staff, lovely scenery and great Milanese food.

Staying in the hotel we decided to eat at their acclaimed restaurant on our first evening. The food was so good that we decided to return the next evening. Evening one I had an appetizer of veal with anchovy and caper sauce which was very...good. This was followed by seabags with shellfish sauce which was really really good. The following evening I started with scallops which were good and finished with rabbit stewed with potatoes which was not that great. Therefore one 5 star meal and one 3 star meal adds up to 4 stars.More

while this is a 4 star hotel this is a 5 star chef and staff. the risotto is award winning and i quite agree. the wine list is select and i saw my favorite barolo wish i had someone to help drink a bottle with...me. the desserts are also amazing i started with the white chocolate and wish i had enough time to have them all. this is a jewel while we were dining they were also having a large party in the other room and all of us received excellent and attentive serviceMore

I stayed overnight in Hotel La Torretta and because I arrived late, decided not to go out but to give a try to hotel restaurant. Setting of the restaurant is amazing: Looks like to dine in a museum with all frescoes and paintings on the...walls. Menu is mainly about local cuisine and Milan tradition. We took "Risotto alla Milanese" and was tasty, creamy, delicious. Appetiser too was tastey and light. table service was amazing: they explained us the menu, provided suggestions, with discretion and professionalism. Well done guys and keep going like thisMore

Fantastic place where you can get a whole room for yourself and have a very romantic dinner. We came for san valentine and it was superb, the risotto milanese awesome as always and then fantastic fish dishes. Awesome dessert too. Waiter super friendly. Highly recommended.

I took spaghetti al pesto and veal meat as a second place. No doubt about the quality of the ingredients. Dessert was a strawberry cake. Excellent. Wine was good and service professional.

The Vico restaurant is on the first floor of this former country estate turned hotel and though slightly hard to find (it's in an cheerless and drab area just outside Milan city limits) going there is worth the effort. The dining rooms are airy and...spacious with high ceilings and frescoed walls and dining here feels like a perfect blend of Renaissance palace and modern classy restaurant. Food is awesome (spaghettoni and risotto are unforgettable) and though obviously Italian there are a few twists and modern touches that make it really special, there is an excellent choice of wines and the beautiful courtyards are perfect for a drink or to just sit and relax. I came with a small group of friends and we all loved the place. Price are adequate to the quality and setting but still absolutely worth the experience.More

We dined at this restaurant each of the 3 nights that we stayed at the hotel. While it was primarily due to convenience, we also thoroughly enjoyed the food.Even though it is comparatively expensive, the pricing is probably consistent with the quality and being in...a hotel. We had a different amuse bouche each night and the presentation of the food was faultless. The service was also very good- Giovanni especially, was extremely professional and courteous despite his limited English. One thing that definitely needs to be addressed though is the very poor translation of the menu. On the first night we were only offered the English menu but on closer reading of the Italian version in the lift and with the help of Google translate, not only were we better able to understand what was on offer, we realised that some elements of our meals were completely omitted eg the sweet potato with the veal dish. This must be more of a problem for diners whose first language is not English but that is the language they are using at the restaurant. We also had the buffet breakfast here because it was included in the room rate. It offers a comprehensive selection of foods including some delicious cakes. However, an example of the translation issue is that 'screamed milk' was available for breakfast. I'm quite sure that was 'skimmed milk'!!More

I had the opportunity to attend a marriage in Villa Torretta and the location deserves a five-star rating. The hotel is surrounded by a vast park, beautifully restored and highlighting the ample porches and a stunning patio. The marriage took place in two different rooms...and the setup was perfect. We've been served with a nice selection of mises-en-bouche and local refined products. The menu was a three courses service but there have been two factors which decreased the "wow" outcome: the wait for getting the whole table served and the overburnt/cooked food in most of the courses. Despite it is a marriage, I attended other similar venues and to have a cold dish with such an inviting description (roasted beef/risotto milanese ecc..) it is a pity. Nonetheless, this deserves to be booked for smaller groups and romantic dinners/occasions.More

My wife booked a big lunch/dinner for the family for Easter. The hotel is a stark contract to the surroundings, a former cloister, restored and converted into a hotel and restaurant. The restaurant has many separate halls with unique atmosphere. The service is a little...formal, but excellent nonetheless. Food was good, but portions too much for a 5 course meal. Some dishes seemed a little cold. Because of it's location, it is probably best suited for business events.More
