Food was good and great service. We sat outside and ate since it was pretty busy. The gentleman that brought us the food saw that my almost 3 year old sweating, so he gave us a wet paper towel to wipe her down to cool her off. Thumbs up from me and will go there again!

Very friendly staff greeted us as we walked in the door and explained how to order at the window. We wanted local authentic Hawaiian food versus typical breakfast foods from the mainland. This place has the variety we were looking for and the food was very good. Very low key with food served in take-out containers. We had difficulty finding menus online so I took pictures. It is CASH ONLY with no customer restrooms. Customer restrooms is the only thing I think could improve the business. We may go back another time before we leave the island! That says a lot for us as we enjoy exploring local restaurants on trips!

If you want to support a local hole in the wall, then this is the place for inexpensive tasty Hawaiian/asian style breakfast/lunch dishes. At the time we visited, the little place in a small strip mall was still operating in covid conditions so no indoor dining and cash only. It's take out and there is some outdoor seating on the strip mall sidewalk to sit and eat. It's not fancy and definitely local but It's a popular place so expect long lines to order or arrive early. Would go again for sure and doesn't hurt the wallet!

Buyer beware. I’m deeply sorry to have to leave this review but I feel compelled to give honest feedback to anyone using these reviews to make a food decision like I did.
This place isn’t worth the 5 star ratings. I took my family of 5 and spent $50 on breakfast.
1. The food portion was shamefully small. Everyone was still hungry after.
2. It’s CASH ONLY but they don’t have a sign or solicit that until after you’ve ordered all your food. Guess who gets to go to an ATM!
3. The prices are high for what they are serving.
4. Food was bland.
5. Prices on the menu aren’t what they charge you. We asked the cashier why he charged $10 for the menu item that was listed as $8. He said the price of food went up. Ok, but why are you still soliciting the old price and when I ordered it, why didn’t you tell me the prices changed? We felt duped.
6. Food took 20-30 minutes because there is one cook and one cashier. It’s not worth it guys.

We stopped here first thing after arriving in Kona. By the looks of the line outside, we figured it was a good place. There seemed to be plenty of parking but when I walked up to give them our name, I quickly found out that you order your food inside and then take it away to eat of sit at the one of the 3 tables where people are standing in line to give their good order. I am sure it was good, but didn't want to stand in line or eat outside. Both were a drawback for us.

The service was the only positive about this place. The food was not good unfortunately, I was really looking forward to the banana pancakes with Mac-nut vanilla sauce, but the pancakes were meh, and the Mac nut sauce tasted like chemicals. I’ve had amazing ones on Oahu, so this was a letdown. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Not sure where all the great reviews came from as this was without a doubt the worst breakfast we have ever had. French toast wasn’t cooked through, “scrambled” eggs were not even close to being scrambled and the hash had no hash in it what so ever, all potatoes. Maybe the locals have never eaten anywhere else and that’s why they think this place is great?? About the only good thing here was the coffee and the cashier who was VERY friendly. We are here for another 2 weeks and will NOT be back, VERY disappointed!

Great place for lunch- Known for the panco beer batter ONO fish and chips- Nice portion reasonably priced. It is a good meal served with a Friendly staff. They offer to exchange onion rigs and pineapple coleslaw (a must) for fries or even sweet potato Fries. This is a Cool place visited by locals - light guitar entertainment was also there today

My wife I and decided to give this restaurant a try and we were both very satisfied with the taste of our Mowie Wowie omelet. We ordered hash browns for the side and they were just right. The food was served piping hot and the service was great. The coffee was outstanding; I drink my coffee black and this coffee doesn’t need cream. So good! We’ll be back again before we leave the island.

We found this place our first morning on the Big Island. We were up early with the time change and wanted something close to the hotel that felt Hawaiin but had food my picky 5 year old will eat. This place fit the bill - lots of pancakes, egg dishes, etc. Classics, but also with fun Hawaiin flavors like mac nuts and passionfruit. Doesn't look impressive on the outside, but well worth it, would 100% visit again if we were in the area.

Breakfast where the locals eat! Great breakfasts at reasonable prices, service was amazing too. We liked it so much we had breakfast here twice during our four mornings in Kona
Our server had a very positive outlook on everything, he just seemed to be a happy person.
The restaurant is his fathers, with dad running the kitchen and son in charge of the service. From the name you get a hint of the pricing on the menu. Most breakfasts were $8.08 with a few higher priced options such as an amazing omelet for $10.08

Such a fabulous place for breakfast! Asked the lady at the counter what she would order and she said - order the slow roasted pork Moco - what a brilliant recommendation! Truly the best Moco I have ever had!!!!! Will be back in July!!!

We have had the seafood, country and Da Kanak Attack Omelettes, and the macadamia nut pancakes with coconut sauce, with Fried potatoes. Of course not on the same day… This is a place you will want to come back to again and again! Consistently wonderful and tasty food! Pancakes to die for, fried potatoes just right and delicious omelettes. So hole in the wall and not much to look at or many seats outside but service was super friendly, food fresh, delicious, and very reasonable priced. What more could you ask for!

Came here on a whim. Only doing to-go due to Covid. Almost went somewhere else but decided to just take to go and eat in the car. Lemme tell you this was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Was in a group of 4 all of whom got different items and not a single person was disappointed. The portions were on the larger size but we pushed through the pain because none of us was willing to give up a single bite. Already planning to come back.

Food was bland and not flavorful. Had the Beni Trio and the sauce was watery, probably from the watery eggs, and the fish wasn’t seasoned basically at all. The English Muffins also went really done so they were chewy at the bottom of the watery mess.
Wife got the Grindz Breakfast, and the eggs and the English Muffins weren’t done enough for hers either. The sausage was good and the potatoes were good, so that’s why I gave it 2 stars.
