I have purchased peaberry coffee beans from other Kona growers on trips to the Big Island the past few years. I was not sure of buying any more, because I was not satisfied with the taste and it is more expensive than the regular beans. But, when the staff told me that you only use half the amount of regular coffee, I thought I would try it. I am very pleased with the flavor of the Kona Coffee Cafe peaberry, it is amazing. I have used all I brought back last October and have ordered more. I will continue to order more when I run out.

We have a timeshare on the Big Island, and so we are there at least once per year. This shop is very nice, but the best part is they ship it to you HERE! I've stopped buying coffee @ the grocers at home...I buy a 5# bag and in days it's delivered and I can enjoy the flavor of the island on my own porch.

We had visited Kona Coffee Cafe on our trip to the Big Island and ended up dropping by almost every day. It is right on the main strip, beach side. Since that time we have been so spoiled with the quality of the coffee that I order it all the time, sent vacuum sealed to our home. It is so much better than the normal cup of coffee we get when out and about, so now, I just order it and have within a week! The very best flavor is the Coconut Cream, so smooth and flavorful, just amazing. We also like ordering the smaller packs to give as presents, great at Christmastime. It is also nice how they have such a great family history on the island, well deserved. If you want legit, 100% Kona Coffee, this is the place to go!

Every year when we travel to Kona we stop everyday to Kona Coffee Cafe. Besides drinking their FANTASTIC COFFEE, we enjoy their conversations, courtesy, everything about their cafe. I always buy coffee to ship home and when I run out, I order more. Just placed another order and again, they were more than accommodating. Now enjoying my wonderful coffee. Absolutely wonderful!! Love it!!

The employees were so kind and had a cute set of mini coffee cups to let me taste all the different blends before landing on my favorite, vanilla macadamia nut. I had bought some local big island coffee at the grocery store and was so disappointed. This coffee was sooo much better and full of flavor. I ordered 2.5 lbs to share with friends at home.

My husband and I visited the Big Island in Sept. 2021 and stumbled upon this café while out shopping. The women working there were so friendly and patient with every customer, even though they were swamped. Each time they explained the difference between medium and dark roast coffees with samples offered, told the story of how the Peaberry coffee is derived/created, and helped each customer who wanted to purchase bags of coffee find the right type for them personally. We enjoyed talking with them about the Green Bay Packers, whom they were quite familiar with to our surprise, and returned 3 times during our vacation. On our last visit, I finally decided to buy a bag of Peaberry coffee to take home with me. When my bag ran out I panicked, I had fallen in love with this amazing coffee. Luckily, they had a sticker on the bag on how to reorder because I was hooked! I ordered, got free shipping, and the new bag arrived 5 days later. Super quick shipping/turn-around and I never pay for shipping. I've checked other suppliers for price comparison, but Kona Coffee Café is the best option for me ... plenty of size choices, and they also offer and ship other Hawaiian goodies. The Peaberry isn't cheap, but it's definitely worth the splurge for me.
They do offer some tempting yummies, like Donkey Balls (chocolate covered macadamia nuts), but we didn't try any of them.

We walked here from our inn and we were greeted with smiles and alohas! It was such a friendly way to wake up. The baristas are both so kind and make casual small talk with you while they are making the amazing drinks. They even offer free taste tests of their delicious coffee.
My husband had a cup of their totally fairly priced and completely delicious kona coffee and I had one of their delicious smoothies and we shared a chocolate chip muffin.
We walked from the shop to back of the store complex where you can sit and drink your coffee watching the ocean waves crash over the rocks.
We came back every morning of our stay in Kona. We refused to try any other coffee/breakfast shops as we found this place on our first day and had to keep coming back for more. Such a wonderful start to the day, please make your way over to this shop!

AMAZING Coffee! I had a 5 hour layover and my Lyft driver recommended I stop by this place when I asked where to find great, local coffee. 10 out of 10 recommended stopping by for anyone staying on Kona or if you have a few hour layover and enjoy high quality coffee on their ocean front patio. The staff was highly knowledgable and offered free samples to ensure I picked the right flavor for me. I've had Peaberry beans before, but these were some of the best I've sampled and will be re-ordering these online until I can make it back.

After visiting the Kona Coffee Cafe I have continued to regularly give this coffee as presents and to also become a subscribing member. My fav is Vanilla Macadamia Nut, medium, Peaberry ground. Anyone who receives this coffee as a gift from me just raves and raves about it. So smooth, So flavorful. Well worth the price! You must visit if you are on the island as the shop is at a perfect location to view the ocean and local surfers, and the folks at the shop are extremely friendly and helfpul.

We purchased 1 lb of the Kahlua Cream (dark roast) and 2 1/2 pounds of the Dark Roast (non flavored) and shipped back to Ohio. My husband and I are big coffee drinkers and what a treat for us to drink in the mornings when we are both home. It’s true when they say it is smooth! My daughter drinks hers over ice and commented how smooth as well. Usually I can only tolerate 2 - 2 1/2 cups of a grocery store blend without getting a little indigestion but I have had no issues with the Kona Coffee. I love it so much I took it to Vegas last week, bought a $9.99 generic coffee maker and made my own coffee for 6 days! Stayed at the MGM and knew they did not have in room coffee. I saved myself a trip downstairs to the lobby and could lounge in my room with my delicious morning cup of Kona Coffee!!

We were there in September 2022 and paid $6.00 for a small cappuccino. Most expensive price we ever paid. Service was slow and inefficient as there were 3 staff
each one knowing less than the other. No butter for our bagels, one small package of
cream cheese.

I have been ordering their whole bean coffee for over 10 years now, just love the flavored varieties, especially Coconut Cream and Vanilla Macadamia Nut. They make it super easy to order online, usually with free shipping promotions going on for ordering $150 or more in total. It is shipped extremely fast, right to our door. And if you want to visit them in-person, as we have, their location is easy to find right on the main road in Kona.

For anyone who loves to love coffee, you won't find a more straightforward and delicious way to enjoy such a rare bean. Don't be shy! Ask to sample everything, because you'll want to buy some by the bag and it can be difficult to choose from such a selection (do try the Peaberry). If you do purchase in bulk you won't have to worry about stuffing it in your luggage, because shipping will be included.

Before I was in Kona, a friend had brought me a pound of Peaberry coffee from the Kona Coffee Cafe. I really liked it and looked forward to going there in person. When I went the staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't sit at the cafe as I didn't have time but I bought a few pounds of coffee beans. I've enjoyed their Dark Roast Peaberry and their Espresso roast coffee. For my personal taste, I find for coffee I like a courser grind on the Peaberry. I've also used it in small amounts to make other non-Kona coffee I have at home better.
I went to a handful of farms on Big Island. One thing is for sure is that the Kona coffees definitely have a distinct taste from the other regions. A lot of the Kona coffees are great, including this one, but the pricing is much better here. I plan on ordering again. High quality, more affordable price.

The lovely staff that works at the cafe made the experience so memorable. We were greeted with friendly manners and were welcomed to sample 4-5 different types of Kona coffees, ranging from peaberries to their flavoured Kona coffees. The peaberry dark was such a hit. It’s the first coffee that we were able to drink black and ended up buying 5 pounds of it. Their coffee beans chocolates are absolutely delicious and highly recommend their dark chocolate ones.
