Don't let it's location in a quiet shopping center on Route 9 deter you from trying this restaurant. We found it has very good sushi for lunch on a recent trip to Hyde Park, NY. We had the day's Chef Special which was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely seek it out on our next visit to this part of the Hudson Valley area.

We were in Hyde Park and were looking for something different for dinner. Mizu Sushi is invisible from the road and even from the parking lot. They really need a new sign! The food was excellent. We had a sushi sushimi platter and it was both excellent in variety and quality. Service was superb. I would not hesitate to eat there on our next trip to the region.

We stopped by this delightful spot based on the reviews. As stated, this is a gem of a restaurant. 5 star plus! The food was authentic and delicious. We ordered sushi deluxe and hibachi dinners. The sushi is fresh with wonderful ginger slices. I even loved the tea. Wish I had room for the unique desserts. There is takeout as well though I would highly recommend the ambiance and flair of dining inside.

I was in the local area, and in the mood for some sushi. After looking at reviews and pictures online, I was excited, and expecting an enjoyable experience. However, this was not the case. For appetizers, we ordered a clear soup and seared tuna mango salad. The clear soup? Delicious. Flavorful and a great way to start your dining experience. The tuna mango salad, however? Completely fatty, to the point where it was almost inedible. Almost tasted and felt like eating raw, fatty, bacon. We didn’t finish it, and our waitress told us the excess fat was because it was blue fin tuna, and it should be eaten with wasabi (???). After appetizers, one entree included a golden apple roll, and a sweetie roll, while another was a second sweetie roll, and one of the Naruto rolls. The golden apple roll was delicious. Great combination of flavors, and genuinely enjoyable. But once again, the tuna on the sweetie rolls were extremely fatty. Not as bad as the tuna mango salad, but again, could not be finished due to the high fat content. The Naruto roll was ok, the cucumber had a sauce that didn’t taste great, but overall, the fish and avocado inside of the roll tasted fine. Service was quick, but several servers and cooks were on their phones while we were being greeted into the restaurant. Could be better.
Overall, some items are a miss (especially the tuna items!) while few others were a hit. There’s several other Japanese restaurants in the Hudson Valley with similar menu items that are far superior, and worth spending your money on. Will not be coming back to this establishment.

We stopped in for dinner during a trip to Hyde Park. Friendly service and the sushi was very good and we had dessert which we seldom do. We enjoyed both the crème brûlée and the cappuccino truffle

This place was so good I ended up eating there twice on a recent vacation in the area. I ordered a bunch of little things -- seaweed salad, shrimp gyoza, shrimp tempura roll, California roll, two different kinds of ice cream -- and it was all tasty and very reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.

We decided to try Mizu Sushi while visiting our soin who lives in Hyde Park. This is his favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. They have an extensive menu including some Thai items (I usually don't like Japanese restaurants who also carry cuisines of other nationalities, but this is an exception).
My son and I split the Love Boat for two. It is a combination Sushi and Sashimi platter for two. The fish was very fresh and flavorful, and the combinations interesting.
They also have an extensive sake menu! Dinner was very good for the price, and I would highly recommend Mizu when you need a sushi fix!

Very good sushi and nice and fresh and pleasant service. Enjoyed the special rolls and Thai spring rolls. Prices were reasonable and good portion size too! Very close to the Culinary Institute and casual dining.

I so love a good restaurant with fresh sushi. This place is awesome. The sushi is made to order and tastes great. Don't forget the chop sticks.
