The Farnsworth House Tavern is truly Gettysburg, PA at it’s heart. We live 25 minutes away, but rarely ever visit. My wife’s 30th birthday was accentuated with the allure of the lure of Gettysburg thanks to the Farnsworth house. The family that is responsible for...More

Good food and dog friendly. Staff was very helpful. Only issue we had was with the mosquitos that attacked but otherwise a nice place.

We ate here our second night in Gettysburg and had already dined at the Dobbin House. I really liked the Dobbin house....sorry. But this place was good, there was not a lot of choices on the menu though. My husband had the very filling game...More

Dined outdoors and the food and service was really good. Leland our server was attentive and was truly interested if we enjoyed our food. Looking forward to trying the indoor tavern and fine dining restaurant. Fun to see everyone dressed in period costume.

Ate here for a weekday dinner with colleagues. Pickled watermelon was yummy. Marginal wine selection. Waitress was not the most pleasant. Breads were ok. Chicken pot pie was good but not exceptional. Overrated. It was a meal.

If you are in Gettysburg, you should eat here. The food is great. They keep their historic theme going with the food, but it is all wonderful traditional American food like prime rib, game pie, and pulled pork. You get watermelon pickles. The wait staff...More

You name it, they have it, great food, great service, great prices, great atmosphere. The game pie that I had was totally unbelievable and would be worth returning just to have again.

Have dined here multiple times over the past few years. The period atmosphere is fun and relics from the Gettysburg movie interesting. Typically we go during off hours so staffing is a bit sparse but have not had a problem with service. Burgers and pulled...More

My first stay at the Farnsworth house which was 11 years ago, breakfast was included in our stay, the staff there did dress the period time frame. The after dinner tour I don't think still goes on with the reservation, they... More
