The tavern was crowded when we visited. When we were seated the table had not yet been cleaned and there was debris on the floor. The crab cake sandwich and salad were good. The beer selection was not very large. The atmosphere of an old tavern...More

My team recently went to Gettysburg for our annual business planning retreat. We were recommended to Dobbin House for dinner. It is located in the oldest home in Gettysburg and has great history. The decor makes you feel as if you are stepping back in...More

We're from Montana, and was in Pennsylvania for a wedding. After, we tried hitting as many 'hot spots' as possible, the first being Gettysburg. That night, we went to the Dobbin House for dinner, and it was exceptional. Our waitress was very pregnant, but it...More

REALLY GREAT food. Have never been disappointed. Service is always good too. The house is old, so seating can be a little close but it’s worth it, everything else is so wonderful. We love it here and will come back every time we visit Gettysburg!!

We went here with friends who'd been here before . . . the atmosphere is AMAZING!! A very historic stone house, beautifully decorated and presented. The tables, however, are CRAMMED together, making intimate dining next to impossible. Our server, Debra, was impeccable! Our wine was...More

When in Gettysburg, Pa. this is the first place on my list of things to do, eating here at the Dobbin House, which is always an adventure, feeling as though you are transported back in time, especially since it was built in 1776 and is...More

Our group of 4 entered into the small foyer/sitting room on a cool blustery day and was greeted by a warming fire in the hearth of the stone fireplace. The seating was worn, the tables were scared and floors plain but so late 1800’s. There...More

The food was great, highly recommend the crab cakes! I also had a fall spiced wine that was delicious. Service was great! The tables are a little close together but it's in a house so it isn't an open restaurant so it's expected. Enjoyed ourselves...More

Not down in the Tavern, but upstairs they do. I find that if you eat dinner around 4:00, you don't have to wait long to be seated. If you go after 5:00, the wait can be quite long. Especially around 6:00-7:00
