The ambience here is just great. It starts with the manager who's a real comedian, the friendly servers, the happy diners at surrounding tables. We had to wait about a half hour for a table at lunch, which is typical. Some of the food was...More

Had the corned beef sandwich. My wife had turkey and chopped liver. With a Dr. Browns cream soda. Does not get much better than this. Expensive but worth it. It's the real deal.

As aficionados, we ordered the full plate, with meat, salads, chopped liver and bread; WOW! Enough for 6 (around $90.00)....I haven't had a hot pastrami sandwich like this in years. Great food, super fresh, clean and just fun...a REAL deli!

The place is worth of a visit: overcrowded but quite friendly. Pastrami medium, prices a bit expensive.

Yes -- both locations. The Kashrut certification is online and of course displayed in the store. I can't print a link on TA, but if you search on Google with the following words, you can see it: 2nd Avenue deli NYC kosher
