Truluck's is one of those upscale restaurants that you go to because 1) you have an expense account, 2) you're dining with someone who has an expense account, or 3) you want a memorable dining experience, regardless of the cost. Last night, my wife and...I fell into the last category - we wanted a great meal with matching service and ambiance. Our server, Matt, was attentive, informative (he gave us a suggestion for a nice cheese, jelly and cracker combination, outside of Truluck's menu) as well as a nice wine pairing to go with our meal. We started off with their Crab & Shrimp Napolean, and a cup of Lobster Bisque. Both were quite good, but the Napolean was enough to share. For the entrée, my wife had the Seared Scallops which were cooked to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Any time we go to a restaurant that has a whole cooked fish, that's what I tend to order and Truluck's had the Branzino on the menu. One of the great things about their plating - outside of the crispy skin, tender and flaky meat, and delicious blend of olive oil/lemon juice, is they remove the head and bones in the kitchen, so the diner doesn't have to worry about pulling bones out of the fish or your mouth. For dessert, we were forced to choke down a perfectly presented Baked Alaska. Exquisite! If you fall into one of the 3 categories mentioned above, or just want to have nice evening, book a reservation at Truluck's. If you happen to have Matt as your server, all the better. If you do go and your dining experience isn't 100% to your liking, send me the bill and I'll reimburse you. No, really - have I ever lied to you before?More

Service is impeccable, food is great! Started with a bowl of lobster bisque, then a crab cake appetizer, then the miso-glazed sea bass. Waiter explained everything as we ordered them, he really studied his menu items. He brought everything out at a good tempo, giving...us time to savor each dish before the next came out. He was also very considerate in splitting the main course for us into 1/2 meals. The bisque was creamy and had a great lobster taste. The crab cake was very light on the stuffing and very heavy on fresh crab meat...perfect! The sea bass was deliciously seasoned with the miso glaze. Then, because it was my girlfriend's birthday they brought out a huge cake and lit it on fire! It came with a "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate. The cake was decadent, layers of white cake, chocolate cake, coffee cake, Oreo crumbs and a sinful icing. Highly recommended for a special occasion and you want to spoil yourself or the loved one.More

We had our wedding anniversary dinner today and it was a wonderful and delicious experience. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in picking the right dishes for us. My wife is gluten intolerant and they gave us their gluten free menu with plenty of options...(unfortunately the crab cake was not included). We had lobster soup (amazing), chilled crab (delicious, already cracked, easy to eat) and then an incredible ahi tuna and sea bass. Everything was truly perfect. They also gave us a wonderful booth table with rose petals on it and gave us a special dessert with strawberries, whipped cream and a sweet dish with “happy anniversary” written with chocolate sauce. We will be back!More

Outstanding Crab Cake, all crab, no filler, (unnecessarily over-priced) rivaling Wise Villa Winery's in Lincoln CA. Superb Seared Ahi, melts in your mouth. Calamari with stirred fried veggies great, al dente!

Finding a restaurant able to accommodate a business dinner group of nine in a time of covid restrictions is difficult - Truluck's managed it superbly well and the entire group was very pleased with the restaurant. My compliments to the entire staff. We enjoyed a...very full seafood platter with excellent crab, shrimp, crab cocktail, and the Florida stone crab claws. All were beautifully fresh. Others at the table had oysters and meatballs that were declared to be very good. The miso-glazed Chilean seabass was superb and very well prepared by the kitchen: just sufficiently but not overcooked, sweet, juicy, flaky. A range of nicely cooked vegetable accompanied the main dishes. One at the table ordered the steak and said it was the best he had had in a long time. Pricing: this is fine dining and priced accordingly. Service: the service was outstandingly good (Julie was particularly good) - friendly without being overfriendly, attentive but not intrusive. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and individual dishes. Handling a table of nine is not easy, but our servers ensured everything worked smoothly, on time and in coordination.More

We went last night and hadn’t been back for a little while due to the virus. The food was exceptional. We shared a green salad and I had the crab cakes and my husband the Branzino which was he really liked. The crab cakes were...truly the best I’ve ever had around the world. Matt, our waiter was top notch as he suggested excellent wines by the glass and offered great food choices. Our outdoor seating was semi private, and we enjoyed the live music playing nearby. We’ll be back soon.More
