Reservations a must so plan ahead. This place has a great menu for all foodies! Fine dining in a more casual atmosphere which is wonderful when you pack mostly an outdoor wardrobe for Moab. You will not be disappointed when you eat here!!
I made reservations months in advance and drove 2500 mi to be here for our 45th anniversary dinner. Literally 3 minutes before we walked out of our hotel I received a curt phone call (followed by a blunt text) saying "Our dinner reservations were cancelled"....This is at 6 pm on a Saturday night. No offer to help make other arrangements. No offer of a future discount or even a free dessert. Nothing. Supposedly they had some kind of equipment failure. But when we walked by the parking lot was full, the lights were on and they were clearly serving other people already seated. They just weren't letting anyone else in. Really any owner that treats her customers so callously should be ashamed. I don't care how good the food supposedly is, I would never eat here after this kind if treatment and I recommend you don't patronize them either. We got more help securing another spot at the last minute from our dogsitter and the hotel manager than we did from anyone at Desert Bistro. They really just couldn't have cared less. Two big thumbs down for poor service and poorer attitude.More
Difficult to get a reservation so we sat at the bar top on what turned out to be very uncomfortable seats. Service was great. Beet appetizer was excellent as well as the fresh baked bread. Lamb was excellent, but it sat in a bowl of...sauce which was spiced to the point of being overpowering and I like spicy. My wife didn’t like the potato dish …too much rosemary?More
After being on a travel binge for the summer, Dessert Bistro served one of the beat meals we have had (including 3 weeks in France). From interesting cocktails to fabulously prepared and presented foods, along with excellent and friendly service: big, big thumbs up!!
Thanks Leslie/Lesley for fitting us in on the patio. Wow, great meal! And Mitch was a first class server, a true master server. Thanks.
See photos of most of our selections. All perfectly prepared and presented. Lovely patio.
Just a great dining experience!
Best place to east in Moab!! The food is fresh and so well prepared. You will get a delicious basket of homemade bread with rosemary butter and an olive tapenade. Yum!! An appetizer to start with is the bacon wrapped dates!! We then enjoyed the...fresh fish of the day which was flown in from Hawaii the night before. Grilled and placed over a delicious watermelon salad. We also enjoyed pasta, homemade pockets stuffed with mushrooms. Delicious! Ended with the chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake. Wonderful!! Make reservations! And enjoy!!More
We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Desert Bistro three times during our stay in Moab. Each experience was unique due to the ingenuity of the chef, who prepared unique dishes each evening. Twice I had a fish that was flown in from Hawaii; the preparations each...night were so different that the fish tasted like an entirely different meal. We also enjoyed the bison empanadas, the rack of lamb, and the bison filet. The food and our experiences at Desert Bistro were equal or better than most of the restaurants where we have dined in New York City. We also want to extend kudos to Tatyana, our server who has been with the restaurant for over 17 years. She was warm and personable, which added to our experience. On another note, the servers at this restaurant wore masks and the tables were nicely spaced. Thank you to Desert Bistro for making our evenings in Moab so enjoyable.More
We started with the ahi tuna appetizer that was recommended by our table server.
We then went on to wedge salads that were perfect. Our table server recommended the Bison Filet wrapped on bacon & served w/ mushrooms & potato. We highly recommend!!
I wish we had eaten here earlier in our stay in Moab. The food was delicious and the staff great. They dealt with all my good allergies: soy, gluten, wheat and nuts wonderfully. I highly recommend this place!
