What's not to like? Donuts, Greek pastries and Greek traditional entrees like Gyros. They even had a donut and pumpkin promotion. I think all the bases are covered and a few surprises as well - definitely worth the stop!

Not your run of the mill donut shop. Very tasty and reminds me of bakeries from the old days. No chain restaurant will compare.

I have always held the opinion that the Best of Crete restaurant in Charleston, WV had the best Greek gyros around. Someone told me that the Jolly Pirate Doughnut store in Huntington, WV had really good gyros. My first response was, " a doughnut shop...that sells gyros??" I have eaten at Jolly Pirate twice now and by far, they have the best gyros around. Very consistent, affordable and most importantly, very tasty and amply served. I ordered the Hades Gyro that comes with lamb, beef, lettuce, tomato, sautéed jalapenos and onions, and a spicy gyro sauce. It is out of this world!!! The sandwich is very filling and they stuff the pita to the max. I will definitely return!More

Ok...I never thought I would be taking lunch to go to the donut shop. But it has happened. They have the best Gyros that I have had since living in Orlando and had a Greek restaurant that I would go to for one. They also...have amazing falafels, and you get 4 for $1.50 that a no brainer. If you order the combo with drink and fries, they put a seasoning on the fresh fries that they make after you order. None of this getting fries that have been under the heat lamp. Fresh Gyro, fresh fries, and fresh falafels. I'm making myself hungry again. You wont be disappointed. Sometimes you just have to take your blinders off and try the little places that you would never think of trying for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!!!More

We have been coming here for years. The dozen donuts (which is 13) is our go to. The buttermilk, old fashioned, raspberry filled, and chocolate cream filled are favorites. Our thirteenth donut is the apple fritter- Yum!

Can't find these anywhere. 20 years ago we enjoyed them in Huntington and Ashland. Took some some for our adult children. Great

I haven't been to Huntington in 13 years. I used to go to Jolly Pirate with my grandma. I now have a wife and three kids but grandma has passed. We stopped in Jolly Pirate to share the doughnut love with the family. The best...part? The doughnuts were as good as I remembered! That's unusual for a sentimental place to deliver like that. My kids loved it. My wife enjoyed the perfect jelly doughnut. We will be back!More

We stop here often to get donuts and love them. We were very disappointed with the service received at our last visit. The girl with the pink hair that waited on us was very rude and it seemed like she was Miserable being there. It...really just upset me if it wasn't for the donuts we wouldn't be back.More

$8.69 a dozen beats Kristy Kreme. Buttermilk was our favorite. We don't get to WV much anymore, but always have to get Jim's spaghetti, Gino's pizza, and Jolly Pirates donuts.

We stopped here twice while in Huntington and each time found the donuts excellent. We had an assortment of cake, bread, and filled donuts, so can report that there are no bad donuts at the Jolly Pirate! My adult daughter heard about the Jolly Pirate...from a podcast she listens to, and I'm glad she did. Wouldn't have wanted to miss this little donut shop for anything!More
