I have been here before when in town and figured i would try it again for an inexpensive meal with good food and great service. It did not disappoint as the salad was fresh, the bread was soft amd fresh and the plate of spaghetti...was very good. the meat sauce is different then what i am used to, but very good. I can safely say if you want a good plate of spaghetti then head in to Jim's.More
I've been going for over 25yrs and have never had a bad experience. The food & service is consistently great every time. Ignore the idiot that says fast food Fazoli's is better, that is just ridiculous and absurd.
Jim’s is a staple for the majority of families throughout the Tristate area. Personally I’ve been chowing down on their spaghetti since I was in the womb!!!! My mother’s crazy craving during her pregnancy with me was Jim’s spaghetti. Then when she was pregnant with...my younger brother it was their coconut cream pie. I’m very curious after ALL these years, now I’m 41, I haven’t gotten tired of it?!!!! Because it is still a delicious treat with each & every continuous visit. Filled with cherished memories of Jim sending us off with silver dollars when I’d arrive as a little girl after church with family in my frilly dresses, big bows, and dress shoes. For me & mine, it literally is dinning with family because most of the employees have watched us grow up! And despite Mr. Jim Tweel’s absence now it is still and will always remain one of my family’s favorite dinning spots. It’s always one of my family’s, which now live out of state, frequent trips whenever they return home. Excellent service with a smile, clean, family environment and yes...you guessed it- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You even dine surrounded by stars who’ve visited including John F. Kennedy, Ali, Billy Joel and countless others!! B sure to say “Hi!” to Donna and Jimmi (Mr. Jim Tweel’s daughter). It’s sure to become a favorite for you n yours too; I’m sure 🙏 😜🕊😜More
My wife and I were at your restaurant this afternoon around 4:30 or so. We haven't been there in a while. I ordered the medium spaghetti with meat sauce and my wife ordered the small with meat sauce. First there was not much meat sauce...on either dinner. Very little. It looks like the size portions on both dinners have been cut back. I wanted rolls with my dinner. Got 1 roll. Taste was OK, but not like I remembered it. And the price's had increased. I know it is a bad time for restaurant's. They are competing for every customer. There are other places that sell spaghetti. Bigger portions, more meat sauce on them, more that one roll and cheaper. We have always enjoyed coming there. Just not the same. Like everything else poor portion sizes and higher prices. Most places lIke to blame COVID. Thanks.More
My wife and I were not sure reading the reviews, seemed to be mixed. We wanted to give them a chance being they have been in business awhile. We both had spaghetti with meat sauce. We were both happy with the taste, I in no...way would think the sauce is a cheap hot dog sauce. While definitely has a distinct taste(little spicy), both my wife and I enjoyed the spaghetti with meat sauce. We would recommend especially since you get bread, drink and salad with dinner. We both enjoyed pies: coconut and chocolate, both very good. If you are in area give it a try. We will definitely return when back in area!
If JFK ate here it can’t be too bad!More
You can't fool me. It might be a regional thing, but where i come from that is hot dog sauce not spaghetti sauce. It is store bought "out of the can" hot dog sauce. The wife ordered a steak sandwich and got a hamburger. It...was a decent burger, but a burger.
Really nice people. Really nice atmosphere. Really average food.More
It's hard to say anything that is not a repeat of lots of prior reviews.
Food was the usual excellent an Mandy was attentive enough to keep drinks refilled without being asked.
We live 250 miles west and Jim's was one of the reasons we...made our "getaway weekend" in Huntington.More
Sorry I am sure I do not understand the question. Are you talking about a quart of spaghetti sauce or the sauce and pasta together? Either way, look at a quart jar of mayonnaise and you will see the size.
