Stopped here on the way from Portland to Seattle, and every thing we tried was very well prepared, but nothing was exceptionally interesting.
All 4 of us tried different dishes, and we were all satisfied, but a day later I couldn't tell you what I...ate.
I would probably go again, but reserve 5 stars for places that are a step aboveMore
We were craving Mexican and found this little, not much to look at, restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was simple, the wait staff was great, and the cooks delivered a good meal. To be honest, the five different dishes were devoured within no time....Our family thoroughly liked this little cantina.More
In Castle Rock for one night. We enjoyed El Compadre. Our meals included chili relleno, cheese enchiladas, tacos, beans, and rice. If you enjoy cheesy and saucy Mexican food, then you are likely to enjoy the food at El Compadre. The food, drinks, service, and...atmosphere were all satisfactory. Next time we are in Castle Rock we will return.More
We're not that familiar with mexican food but we're on a roadtrip with our American friends, they love mexican so here we are! All in all it was ok, friendly service, quirky place and reasonable prices. The food wasn't to our taste, the refried beans...were very bland and the rice dry however the chicken was tasty. I guess just not to our taste.More
Daughter recommended a dish so we went as a family. I enjoyed my shrimp dish. Salsa was a little tomato saucy for me. My husband did not enjoy his dish said the meat was flavorless but tasted mine and liked it and would be willing...to go back and try something else because staff was so nice and prompt.More
