This was my first visit to Peper’s 49er. My order of 2 eggs (over easy) and toast for just a bit over $6 was so tasty. The eggs were perfect for dunking my thick-sliced white toast into. I almost always order sourdough, but this toast...was delicious and well-buttered. The waitstaff was friendly and the restaurant was prepared for diners by adding hanging screens between each booth and table.
I’ll go back again for lunch next time.More
Ever felt hungry, but knew that a big meal was not what you had in mine. If you are ever on I-5 heading north or south and that pang of hunger hits, try Peper's 49er right off the Castle Rock, Exit 49. You will not...regret it. The 49er (probably like numerous other establishments) makes it home-made soup each and every day. I have enjoyed three of there tasty, whole-bodied treats on 3 different occasions, on three different days of the week. Totally awesome, just the way Grandma use to do it. If you still have room for dessert, try their home made bread pudding. Again, another taste sensation. Regardless of the time of day, breakfast is served. The entire menu is totally worthwhile and the prices are right. Enjoy, I know you wiill.More
This is always full of locals and a good spot for lunch or breakfast, Its also close to I-5 and easy to park or turn around with a trailer or RV. Food is generally good, prices are reasonable and the service is acceptable. We've stopped...here a number of times on our way south from Puget Sound area and it makes a good place for brunch if you got an early (8:00 a.m.) start. I would give them a better rating if they hadn't try to pass of a grilled hot dog as "a breakfast kielbasa" with now warning and no apologies. I assume the cook knows the difference?More
Food was good! Pancakes are huge! We enjoyed their cinnamon rolls- they are delicious and very reasonably priced. Coffee was good. The diner style restaurant with some counter service stools was really cool.
Stopped in for supper during a recent trip from Seattle to Portland. Don't stop at Peper's if you're not hungry. I had the Chicken Fried steak and the portion was enormous. The gravy is fantastic. My wife had chicken fingers and she commented on how...good they were; obviously not the standard frozen fare. The sides were great and the desserts were very good as well. Great service topped it all off.More
This is the second time at the 49er. First, for breakfast, this time, for a light dinner. Had the homemade soup - creamy turkey barley. I love beef vegetable barley, so how could this item be. It was excellent and probably would not have chose...it if it wasn't for the knowledgeable and courteous waitress. She even sold us on a dessert - the homemade bread pudding without raisins. If it had raisins, I would not have gong along with it. This establishment is quite good and reasonable. The service is excellent.More
We ran into this place by accident on our way from Seattle to Portland. It looked OK, so why not? Well, the food was very good. Large servings, good service, lots of choice... I wish we lived closer so we could return (3,000 miles away!)....Easy on and off the interstate.More
