Avoid this tourist trap. The waiters are drunk and forgot the soups we have otdered. The francesinha sandwich is horrible, the beef in it was very old and chewy.

There’s a traditional dish in Portugal : layered sandwich with meat, sausage, cheese and topped with an egg. Cafe tapas does an amazing one!! Option is to have an egg topping - as shown in the picture

The first restaurant opened in Tappas CAFFÈ Candal Vila Nova de Gaia in 2002. Its owner, Carlos Saraiva and wife, Sandra Saraiva never been linked to the catering industry. After several dinners with friends in your home and listening to the excellent feedback from them, they have embraced this project and specialize in Francesinhas in firewood oven dish highly appreciated in our city. With a name already well known then decided franchisar the brand there this time 7 restaurants. Having a good service and quality products, these spaces have character and even a glamor within the rustic. Quickly won the trust and loyalty of new customers, with a reference to savor this delicacy. In 2015 after a joint family is born the first Tappas CAFFÉ REGIONAL, with a typical tavern room with personality and very welcoming.
