I have dined here many times with friends for lunch. The food is always delicious and the service is always exemplary. Kudos to the team.

Consistently incredible. We absolutely love Jacques Brasserie! Mom & I had lunch yesterday & we had incredible service, food & WOW on the new cocktails. Feel transported back to France every time we come here. Gazpacho, local Rockfish for me & mom loves the cheeseburger...& homemade pommes frites! Always save room for dessert - bien sur! Dark chocolate (Valrhona) Tarte with ice cream & the peach / ice cream …we are still talking about it! A must: these new curated cocktails. Must order: Bisou du Jardin and the Blueberry French 75. Merci beaucoup for another memorable experience at Jacques Brasserie!More

Beautiful and bucolic setting, excellent service, highly qualified and pleasant staff (many are native French speakers), wonderfully prepared food with quality ingredients. Not pretentious at all. Having grown up spending my summers in rural France, this is as authentic as it gets in terms of...that small town auberge's restaurant. It deserves a Michelin star, but I'm selfishly glad it doesn't yet have one so it stays a bit under the radar and available to us!More

My wife and I have dined at Chez Francois for many years but this was first experience at Jacque's Brasserie. I am happy to say that the overall level of service as well as the outstanding food is equal to that received at the restaurant...upstairs. We visited in February so we were seated inside at one of the well spaced tables (its beautiful ceramic top was brought over from France by the original owner many years ago). The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and it was very casual and a comfortable environment. All the staff was very helpful and attended to our every need. Our waiter was Jose, he also serves as the bar tender, and he was wonderful. Not surprisingly the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed two of their amazing cocktails followed by a tasty mesclun salad . We were served a range of great breads/rolls with creamy butter and a very good bowl of cottage cheese. My had the veal scaloppini which she enjoyed and I had the beautiful and delicious salmon with a range of vegetables. My fish was wonderfully grilled and the seasoning was amazing. The dessert souffles were a wonderful end to the meal. Their wine list had many great choices and we did enjoy the selection we tried. Overall we had an exceptional experience at the Brasserie. As I mentioned it provides for casual and relaxing environment where one can simply sit back and enjoy a relaxing time with outstanding food. For special celebrations we would still recommend dining upstairs but for most other dining give the Brasserie a try.More

We came strictly to experience safe dining and excellent food, which this delivered. We each had a glass of reasonably priced wine. We split the delicious mushroom crepe to start. We each had the outstanding, rich burger with wonderful crispy frites. We split the magnificant...chocolate souffle for dessert. James was an excellent server. We will definitely return, as weather permits.More

The Brasserie is located in a good location in Great Falls VA. The dinning room is Charming and has a stylish French/German country style decoration which I love. Service was very friendly and yet professional. Our server Samy was great. The food was outstanding. I...loved the quality of my hamburger. I very highly recommend this Brasserie.More

We returned after a couple of (difficult) years to have another celebratory dinner at the downstairs bistro attached to the glorious Chez Francois by an umbilical kitchen. What was amazing, other than the fabulous dinner which did not surprise us at all, was to look...back to the last review we did here two years ago. So here goes - two years ago we ordered the same meals and the same wine and had the same desert! The only thing that changed, and only slightly, was the price. Back then I commented that we paid about $50 per person for an outstanding meal. This time it was more like $60 per head, and worth every penny. I am only struck by our lack of imagination in conjuring up new entrees. And so, we will go back and begin to explore this menu. Love this place!!!More

If you're there on Tuesday, have the seafood special (I did). My wife had a superb beef bourgenoin, As always, the breads, and spreads, were fantastic. If you don't pre-order a souffle for dessert, take the plum tart with cinnamon ice cream, and leave happy....Chef Jacques is always around to make sure everything is fine.More

Celebrated a birthday at Jacques' Brasserie with my husband and daughters, had a wonderful time! The food was excellent - choucroute, casoulet - good food from Alsace! Chez Francois has a pretty good wine cellar and we enjoyed the wine we selected but....they were out...of the Champagne we picked, and the Taittinger they suggested instead was super dull! LOVED the souffles - always remember to order them early - I'd enjoy them before the meal if I could :) LLMore

This is one of the few five star places in the DC area. Everything about it is excellent, from the bread before appetizers, to the final check (prices are lower than what one would expect). We go there about every second month. We would go...more often, but it is 45-60 minutes from home. Service is perfect, and with a light touch/smile. Wine selection is one of the best we have found. We each wanted different wines so we ordered by the glass, and we were both very happy. And we both care a lot. I had sweetbreads, which might not be to everyone’s taste, but these are the best I have ever had in this country. And maybe in France. My wife had a crab cake, which in this area is very popular, and many places make strong claims. This one was as good as any she has ever had — high praise. I had duck confit, a favorite of mine. It was very good, and the portions were generous. The head waiter remembered that the last time we were there, we had a birthday, so my wife got a free dessert. Just for fun, he gave us another, even tho we had no birthday. A perfect evening.More

This is much less expensive than the upstairs restaurant, but we have been pleased all three times we have dined there. The menu offerings are creative but there are also standards. The service is lovely. The restaurant seats very few so make a reservation. Great...wine selection. Not casual but also not super dressy. Also they are able to do Gluten Free.More

We go to L'Auberge and/or Jacques 4 or 5 times per year. We love both restaurants, and particularly when the main restaurant is decorated for the holidays. We like that Jacques is less formal and can often be accommodated without reservations made well in advance....We visited Jacques last Saturday and enjoyed the outdoor seating in the enclosed "tent". The heaters made the meal very comfortable. As always, the food was outstanding, as was the service. L'Auberge Che Francois and Jacques Brasserie are our favorite restaurants. In 40 years living in this area, we have never found better.More

The setting is still lovely and the restaurant has great character. The food has declined significantly over the years and the service is cold and unimpressive. It has been a long time since we walked away from here thinking we had a very good meal....It’s an average over priced meal in a lovely setting with mediocre at best service. It is never bad but it’s not even close to what it used to be.More

First-rate food in a casual french cafe. Tile tables and lovely outdoor seating. Check out the garden. The best tenderloin hamburgers you've ever had, lovely bouillebaise, and tenderloin coins with bernaise sauce. Be sure to leave room for the hot souffle desserts --grand marnier, chocolate...and raspberry.More
