Popped in most nights on my week staying in plagne 1800. Book to guarantee a table. i walked in and got take away pizzas most nights sat at the bar staff friendly wasnt made to feel in the way even when they was busy. Pizzas are really good. 1 night i asked if i could have a tabke for 1 and no problem they fitted me in. Had a chicken burger with sweet potato fries really was good.staff took good care of me. Good selection of drinks and very reasonable prices. Definitely give it a try if in plagne 1800.

Great food, atmosphere and service!

This is a lovely little restaurant which we booked for the chalet staff night off, its important you book in peak ski season! The starter of the day was spring rolls which were homemade and delicious! Pizza was good and the fajita's really tasty. The only downside was the place felt a bit cold with the air coming in everytime someone opened the front door. Other than that everything was good, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. Highly recommend. When I wanted a large salad, they created one off-menu even though they were very busy. I didn't even realize that until I was served a beautiful salad (vs a huge mound of lettuce I expected). One complaint: they need more staff.

Don't bother if you're British

Upon arrival, the staff claimed there was no space and that takeaway was also unavailable (despite numerous tables being free and others collecting food as we waited). Like many of the restaurants in La Plagne, there is a strong dislike for British tourists amongst the staff that work here. I appreciate it's near the end of the season and people are tired. However, this, nor anything else, can excuse their racism and poor treatment of others. I can't comment on the food but based on our short experience here, I would not recommend.

Hello Julia. First of all, sorry that we didn’t have any table or takeaway slot available for you. You can notice that I am addressing you in English as my husband and kids are English and half of my front-of-house and kitchen staff are English. So there is definitely here no « racism » against the Brits. We have a very good and very strong relationship with all the British customers and British community of La Plagne. One of the staff member you talked to IS English… you simply arrived just before 10pm in a very busy restaurant, looking like it was after an extended Apres-Ski on your side, and when the kitchen was still very busy with service and takeaway orders that people ordered sometimes as early as 6pm to get them at 9:30pm or later. As a last comment I would just said that you might have been annoyed to not be able to have food that evening but my staff was really offended and shocked by being told that they were « racist ». Sorry but this word shouldn’t be used that lightly.

Our best discovery this week! The welcome is warm, the music nice, the pizzas are not cheap but the dough is ultra thin and crispy, the cocktails are great.... In short, thank you to the team and we will come back!

Delicious food, great service, memorable birthday celebration

We visited La Cantine to celebrate a birthday while in the Alps, together with some friends, based on a local recommendation. Everything about our visit was simply outstanding. Service was fast and friendly. Menu options were broad with a choice for everyone in our group. The food was delicious, some of the best food we have ever eaten, across every plate on the table. Flavours were off the charts. Portion sizes were great. And prices all reasonable as well, considering most places on the mountain add a premium. And some nice extra touches from the staff to help us celebrate the birthday. All in all, making our visit to La Cantine a highlight of our trip to the Alps, and we can not only highly recommend, but we hope to be able to return again in the future to experience it all again.

Chicken Curry Pizza

Very relaxed bar and restaurant with a good selection of popular classics pizza / nachos / chilli. We tried the chicken curry pizza. It sounds dreadful but was actually very good. Well worth a visit but you may have to book.

Final Night in resort

Buzzing bar and restaurant. Great cocktails, good food and all at a 'reasonable' price for the French Alps. Staff very friendly snd helpful. All said, a lively place for the last night in resort.

We have been going to La Plagne 1800 for 15 years and always , always we visit La cantine , on our first and last evening, we enjoy it that much! I swear the pizzas get better every season plus the added variety of tapas and specials of the day/ week add to the choice.Every meal is sooo delicious But what makes La cantine extra special, are the staff, always so welcoming, friendly and helpful .A great, happy place 😀😀

Great place to eat in La Plagne

Relaxed, friendly, tasty

Relaxed, comfortable venue, friendly staff and great food Group of 7 of us visited mid week during half term and food was delicious, served hot, in good time and staff were very friendly and helpful We Took a birthday cake along and the staff gave us a sparkler to light and the locals joined in singing. Lovely atmosphere!

Very charming place with good food. It was only a shame that we were kinda kicked out because our table was reserved a bit after us. We didn't get any time for dessert. Was a shame cause we were celebrating the end of the year.

We had 2 meals here during our stay and both were fantastic. The staff are super friendly and the food superb. The Nachos are delicious. You can book on line really easily as it is a popular place. Highly recommend it.
