absolutely terrible. service terrible. the waiter never came back to check on us, we had to continuously ask for for missing items. i placed a special request for roses & candles, i spoke to someone 3 times throughout the day to reassure they would be...there for my anniversary. i arrived with nothing on the table & when i spoke to the manager he didn't care & said they had ran out. food was very mediocre. not worth the money or hassle. wont be returning.More
The pizza has filet.... Mild flavor... Salty.... The meat has flavor to it... Thin crust but needs some hot sause lol
With COVID19 on the down slope and more restaurants opening up, my boyfriend and I made reservations at Perry's River Oaks for a much needed night out. We arrived on time, dressed to impress and were promptly seated by the manager himself. However, instead of escorting us to...the dining room, we were brought to a tiny high top in the bar. One could only assume that this man must be single or divorced, to have such LACK of insight. What woman wants to spend her meal in front of a TV with a basketball game blaring in the background?! Uncomfortable, we politely requested to move and were reseated upstairs. Unfortunately, we were then completely IGNORED for almost 30 minutes as if we were being punished for moving. When our waiter finally did arrive, having had ample time to look over the menu, we provided him with our full order, which to our continued DISAPPOINTMENT, did not reflect what was brought to our table. The tuna tartare was warm, as if incubating bacteria was their goal, the brussels sprouts were cold and the cauliflower mushroom risotto tasted like purred gym socks. Furthermore, my boyfriend's medium NY strip arrived a bloody mess and my medium rare bone-in ribeye, a thin, grey, abomination. Obviously our steak orders were mixed up, an honest mistake, but it makes you wonder what happens on a busy night if the wait staff cannot manage at the current 50% max capacity! Reluctantly the mistake was addressed and around the time we finished choking down the salvageable bits of our meal, a second, slightly improved, ribeye was delivered. Then, as if it wasn't bad enough that we had to pay $62 for a charred piece of meat that vaguely resembled a ribeye, they put it on our bill twice! Moral of the story, as tempted as you may be to get out of the house, I would PASS on this place and stick to Uber eats!More
Pork Chop Friday to Go! Used to try to get Perry's legendary pork chop Fridays whenever I had time (which is pretty rare) so I was stoked when I saw them offer this on Fridays for take-out. Chose the River Oaks location as it was...closest to me. Ordered online (no online ordering fee which is a plus). Tax and gratuity are mandatory with the order (only restaurant I know that does it so kind of annoying). Once I got to the restaurant, an attendant was outside to see if my order was ready - it wasn't even though I scheduled a 11:45 pickup and got there on the dot. But did wait inside for less than 5 minutes and at least 6 bags of to-go orders came out. Overall great service even though it was brief. The pork chop is a 2 rib cut, smaller than the standard 3 rib cut but still enough for lunch. A giant pool of oil on the bottom (not sure why) and mashed potatoes round out the main course (with their siganture applesauce dip). As delicious and tender as always. Came with a loaf of bread as well (but that was the weakest part of the meal - kind of dry) with whipped butter.More
Delicious food and superb service. Came in for a girls night for drinks and apps and we sat at the bar. Manager Eddie was very hospitable and bartenders were attentive. Variety of apps to share or indulge on your own. Took the managers recommendations on...one of the apps and drink and wasn’t disappointed. I will be back.More
And the best pork chop in America award goes to ..... Perry's Steakhouse. This food literally melts in your mouth, delicious! The service is excellent so I will definitely come back.
We went for my husband’s birthday. The steak was great. The calamari was delicious. Dessert was quite a treat to see the preparation in front of you mount Blanc a la Frisc was a treat, but I need to say a little disappointment in the...ice cream taste generic. We sat upstairs, which was quieter. I had a pasta dish of steak and lobster which was very good. My wife had salmon---yes, it's a steak house, but she wanted salmon, and very much enjoyed it. Liked the location on West Gray. Recall there was...a toy store there 50+ yeas ago.More
It is known for its pork chop but I have not had it. Instead, I have had steak.This restaurant has just opened and is close by. They used to serve a very good version of the French onion soup but I was disappointed this time...around. Nevertheless, their steak was excellent and their bananas cooked table side was worth it.More
Went here for lunch on a friday and they were very crowded. Thats the day they offer their pork chop special for $16. Its a delicious cut of meet that is enough for us to share and still bring home leftovers. We also did some...additional sides like the brussels and fried asparagus, both were just fantastic. The pork chop is also unbelievable and our other friend got the petite filet and said it was wonderful. The dinning room we satin was upstairs. They actually have 2 kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs. Our server Jordin did a great job serving us and taking care of everything. This is also a fabulous place for a nice steak dinner or just a romantic evening. Its not a cheap place to eat but the quality is unsurpassed and always consistent. The dinning room and service are always top notch also.More
