Saturday lunch. My bacon/cheese burger was good and my spouse's salmon salad was equally good. We also splurged on Mrs. Bush's cookies with vanilla ice cream. Very attentive services. All very good. After a meal like that, we needed a long walk in the nature...area behind the library.More
We had lunch here after visiting the President George Bush centre and we were so glad we did. We didn’t make a reservation and it was very quiet on a Saturday lunchtime. We didn’t want a large lunch so the server suggested we share a...sandwich. We had it with fresh fruit instead of fries and everything was delicious. We also had the corn soup, which was probably the best soup we’d ever had! The breadsticks were also delicious. The service was also friendly and efficient. We highly recommend a visit!More
After spending most of the morning at the museum decided to stay for lunch. A great decision. I had the pecan crusted chicken and it was simply awesome. Also loved the varying breadsticks that were part of the dining experience. The environment is classy and...the service was top notch!More
We booked reservations online the day before as we were visiting the presidential library. This restaurant was ranked number one in the Dallas area and we were excited to try all the favorites that previous diners had listed. Our server, Bernard was wonderful and answered...all our questions and even provided us with his recommendations when asked. We were so glad we listened to him for the bread pudding dessert and the freshly made ice creams as the caramel brownie with the vanilla and caramel ice cream was delicious. The pecan crusted chicken breast was incredible and the sandwiches equally tasty for our group. We even grabbed some of the cowboy cookies for the road. On the way out of the restaurant we saw a painting by President Bush too. Highly recommend a visit.More
We had no idea we had, through visiting the museum, stumbled upon TA’s top Dallas restaurant. Wow. Just perfect: Comfortable, stylish but (like the Bushes) unpretentious. Lunch only. I’m quite confident that I have never lunched in a restaurant that had a more appealing menu....I literally wanted everything and wish I had more opportunities to return, but we live in Florida. We settled on sharing the server-recommended Corn Soup ($7; the best!), followed by the Salmon entree ($18) for my wife, and the chicken salad ($16). I also had a Deep Ellum Texas Blonde beer ($7). Nice. As one can see-for a top restaurant with DELICIOUS food in a major city, prices are superb. Our server, Reynoldo, gave great recommendations and took very good care of us.More
Nice upscale feeling place without the upscale prices! The pecan crusted chicken was nicely done with mashed potatoes that included jalapeño pieces swirled in. My husband had the chicken enchiladas with black beans and they were delicious as well.
I had lunch at Cafe 43 after visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Center in May 2022. Cafe 43 is very elegant with a nice ambience. I had corn soup, chicken salad and "President and Laura Bush's Favorite Ice Cream" (banana and pecan ice cream...made on the premises) for dessert. The service was good and the food was delicious.More
Clean, nice ambiance, professionally run in all aspects and well prepared meals. We had a large party and all of our meals were correct and delivered at the same time. From a classic burger to the salmon salad, all diners were happy. The only problem...is the meals portions are large leaving no room for dessert! Nothing outrageous or gimmicky here, just everything done well.More
Booked a tour of the presidential museum and noticed a cafe was attached. What a great find. Food was delicious! Highly recommend if you visit the library
Cafe 43 is a very nice place to have lunch, and we enjoyed our meal very much. Service was excellent, and the food was great. I might have expected a little more of a personal touch. I realize that George W Bush probably doesn't pick...the menu, but I would think they would play up a little more that this dish was one of his favorites growing up, or here's a recipe from the Bush family... Also, parking is awful. GPS takes you to the wrong place, and the signs for parking aren't clear at all. We finally found the lot, but then had to pay to park there. Come on, George W! At least validate for us!More
We had a fantastic lunch at Cafe 43! Loved everything about the experience, from the inviting space, the artwork, the attentive and efficient service, and the fresh, colorful and delicious food. The restaurant was immaculate and one could tell that the staff prioritizes cleanliness and...safety. Truly a delightful experience in every way and we will be back!More
We went to Dallas for a weekend, and our host suggested to have lunch at Cafe 43, the good thing about this place is you can reserve a table online no need to fight crowds.. food was amazing.. thumbs up!!
We were visiting Dallas for a wedding and decided to take in the Bush Library. We received a confirmation email from the Library which also suggested Cafe 43, so we decided to give it a try. We three had the smoked chicken salad, the avocado...toast, and the steak and eggs for lunch. All three entrees were tasty and the service was excellent. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will return on our next visit to Dallas.More
We decided to stop here after our tour at the George W Bush Presidental Library and I am glad we did! Lunch was excellent and the waiter was very friendly. Would recommend grabbing lunch here!
