We ate at The Boatshed twice on our 2 night stay at the hotel. The restaurant was exceptional! Both the staff and food quality was excellent! We ordered the featherblade of beef and the monkfish with scallops. The quality was fantastic, the meat was so...tender and the portions were huge! The staff were also very friendly and kindly gave us 2 free cocktails at a request to change table. They also found us a last minute table on our second night after another nearby restaurant let us down. A big shout out to Andy who lead the service at dinner. He was so friendly and had good banter. He was also very happy to sort any requests. The breakfast staff were also fantastic and so polite. The lovely Kayleigh and Marie are a credit to the hotel. The breakfast was served promptly and nothing was too much trouble. These 2 young girls could teach some of the older staff in the hotel some lessons on wonderful customer service.More

What a delicious supper! We ordered a variety of dishes, including the beef feather blade, lamb chops and the haddock. Everything was absolutely fresh and the vegetables were perfect. Lovely eve

Didn’t have a phone signal so booked by email. Could not have been friendlier. Then was running late so phoned again very understanding. Food when arrived was local and so tasty. Plus the staff so attentive and friendly. Very impressed. Huge thanks.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The menu had some interesting and unusual twists as well as the usual expected options. The ingredients were locally sourced and beautifully fresh - the scallops were superb. The food was flavoursome and the portions generous. The service was...very friendly too.More

Good in the Boatshed absolutely fantastic. All freshly prepared and very well presently. Really enjoyed it. Had a roast beef dinner on Sunday and the beef was thick, succulent and soft. Best I’ve had in years

Good food here, fun cocktails, friendly service and a buzzy atmosphere - we recommend. Book in advance - it is popular!

We visited the Boatshed twice during our stay in Stornoway. Good service and delicious seafood. We loved the langoustines and the Monkfish was amazing, the best dish we have had in a long time! The cocktails were great too. Definitely the best restaurant we found...in Stornoway.More

A bit lacking in atmosphere, probably due to social distancing of tables, but helpful staff and a reasonable choice. Nice view of Lews Castle and evening parking outside was easy. The Royal Burger and the Beef Featherblade were both tasty and the ice-cream sundae with...caramel sauce was superb.More

We really enjoyed our meal here. I had mussels to start and monkfish tail and scallops as a main. My partner had scallops as a starter and langoustines as a main. There was a bit of a mix up with my partners starter but this...got resolved quickly, the staff were apologetic and the food was delicious. I really liked the decor and it was very clean. Would definitely recommend a meal here.More
