We hadn't been to the White Hart since it changed ownership and we are so pleased that we went. On entering, we were greeted by the delightful young lady who was serving at the bar. This should be the norm but our experience in so...More

This is a Wetherspoons and all are the same, tasteless microwaved food. The experience we had was particularly poor as most of the food was cold on delivery and had to be sent back. Seeing the people working in the kitchen put us off a...More

We called one evening for a meal and a drink and were not disappointed... Honest basic well presented food in a pleasant atmosphere.. Curry and a combo were good and great value for money... Recommended for all ages.. We'll call again for sure...

Stopped here for lunch on the way to holiday destination. A very friendly welcome from the barman. Sat outside on one of the several tables - we all had a a sandwich/baguette, which were fresh and tasty.

Nipped in on the way back from Cornwall. Pretty pub, very traditional, clean and tidy. Missed lunch service but diners looked happy, good range of beers and very pleasant pub staff. Will eat next time

Description
The white Hart Inn in Bridestowe is a delightfully charming 17th century village pub. Set in the centre of this popular West Devon village, there is a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Appetising home cooked food at affordable prices is available, along with an excellent range of real ales, ciders, largers and wines. In the warmer months outside seating at the front of the pub provides an ideal location for alfresco relaxing. With a small river running alongside the pub and through the centre of the village it is a most picturesque setting. For the cooler months log fires offer warmth and cosiness to the two bars where the seating is arranged informally ensuring a relaxed atmosphere and inviting ambiance. Children are most welcome as are dogs with waggy tails. There are regular events from quiz nights to live music, in addition to key sporting events on TV. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT WEATHERSPOONS
