A very good meal. Good service. Good beer. Reasonably priced. Booking is probably necessary at the weekend as it was very busy.

Four of us visited after a curtailed walk of Lydford Gorge due to winter opening times, with the full length of the gorge walk not open. The car park is opposite the pub. We sat in the bar side which is not overly large but...More

We came across the Castle Inn while looking for a dog friendly pub. Friendly staff and locals, great booths to sit in. Immaculately clean bathrooms, what’s not to like. Food was great it’s a must visit after a trek through the gorge.

Forgot to add a pic from my last visit and so I decided to add it here. The tomato quiche was absolutely lovely and the Tribute in perfect nick as ever.

Would suggest that you do unless you arrive early as the pub is relatively small and it is the Bank Holiday weekend. Enjoy yourself whatever you decide.
