Over all, the food is excellent, creative, and delicious. A couple of things I did not like. First of all, the cheapest wine is about double the price of the average entree. So, nothing in stock under $50 even though they do list wines under...$50 but none in stock. And, when they substitute a $45 wine, it can cost upwards of $60 for a wine of the quality you'd pay no more than $12 for in a retail store. To me that is just plain bad policy. We ate there twice. Once on a Tuesday and once on a Friday and neither day were any of the wines under $50 in stock. If they don't want to sell wine under $50 why put them on the list? Or, is it that those sell out quickly every day (though both days we ate early) or is cash flow so bad they don't have the cash to reorder? Had they had anything to drink in the $30-$40 range, I would have given it five stars.More

Enjoyed our experience here until the end. Saw on the bottom of the menu that they “reserve the right to add gratuity to any party”. No rhyme or reason to party size or anything. I found that odd. We were a party of two. Only...Black couple in the restaurant. I told my partner that I bet money that they were going to add gratuity to our check because I know how Myrtle Beach “operates” and guess what. They did! To try not to wrongfully assume, I asked a white couple, as they were leaving at the same time, if they had gratuity added to their check and they said no. Even showed me their check. That couple was so nice and apologized for us being singled out even though they had nothing to do with it. I explained to them that we’ve owned several homes here since the 90s, but we never get used to being treated different.. I always tip at least 20%. But to assume I don’t is infuriating. Own a second home right on 82nd. Two blocks away. I will not be backMore

We've been coming here for several years now. As business owners we understand the COVID environment and all but there is a limit. There was no bread available. The short ribs were so salty as to be inedible but were replaced. The foie gras was...tasty but meager in contrast to three years ago when last it appeared but ok. It was the first time I'd had mushrooms underneath the escargot. The halibut was good but priced sky high. it would have been wise to apprise customers of the price or print out the market price for the day. Our waitress was very pleasant. The credit card upcharge was a kick in the teeth. It would have been far wiser to offer a discount for cash up front instead of making a show of adding a charge on. It felt like a gas station in that regard. Expensive cuts of meat are not uncommon but $52 for a modest piece of halibut was sort of shocking, not to mention the additional 4%. I am sorry but this was our last visit.More

Don't waste any money here. And O management I see your BS lying ugly - reply on Google. You lie- we tipped 25%!!! Picture provided. What a nasty management you are or Kelly your manager is. You guys are liars on top of being a...bad restaurant. - had Kelly the manager who is a liar - and who has some serious issues including accusations. The appetizers were ok - and the steaks are literally just burnt and charred with no flavor, but just burnt /charred. nasty. And yes I've experienced wonderful aged steaks at some of the best in the US. This was a $120 ribeye, aged and charred to the point of no flavor. We told them it was not as expected or ordered and they basically didn't care at all that it was not good. Bad experience. Bad food..Bad management. KELLY especially, she should be fired, and who didn't even offer any resolution then lied to try to make us look bad. Go to any other places , try Sea Blue in North Myrtle Beach. They told me on their review don't come back to their restaurant. I won't. Screw this place, Kelly and you gonna have to pay me to bribe me to come back. This was Sorry service, sorry reply, seemed prejudice, and was 120,% a lying place!More

Our chef is French trained. Your sea bass was miso marinated so will ALWAYS look dark. We don’t have a cocktail on the list for 27.50 Unless is a really good bourbon or scotch. You didn’t complain at the restaurant but don’t mind bashing us...More

We've been eating at Fire & Smoke for about 5 or 6 years. I'm not a huge fan of the dark atmosphere, though I understand it's a gastropub, but the food is awesome. It is a little on the expensive side but they use high...end ingredients and the food is cooked perfectly each and every time. My favorite meal is actually the least expensive thing on the menu - the Chophouse Truffle burger. I always upgrade the fries to truffle fries as well since there is no such thing as too much truffle! Our last visit, my husband got the burger and I got one of the specials, which was a white fish (I can't remember what kind), we also tried the Iberico Jamon plate. Fabulous! It definitely isn't an inexpensive meal but it's always good. And it's so hard to find anything original in the land of calabash and chain restaurants. This one is a keeper.More

The food was very good and the waiter was great but the portions were very small and expensive. I left hungry and it wasn’t cheap.

Just to be clear, this is not a Gastro Pub. That may have been their old theme. This is a nice place to get a great steak and good wines or cocktails. Service was terrific. Food was very good. Look at their menu on their...website.More

Food quality, presentation and ambiance were all excellent. The freshly baked bread and dipping oil with fresh herbs - best ever. Ribs and the side of sweet potato fries - done just right and so tasty. The creme brulee - delicious. The smokey old fashioned...cocktail was pricey, but top notch. We don't usually eat at such expensive restaurants, but it's fun to splurge on vacation. In this case, the price truly did reflect the quality and it was well worth it.More

That was the best meal I had so far in the United States ( we have been here for 6 weeks). The steak was unbelievable ( and yes I asked for it to be well done and yes it was perfectly juicy). Ribs were also...unbelievable. There is not much else to say. It is an absolute must if you’re in the area. Excellent and sophisticated. Thank you.More
