Being uniquely different than most Myrtle Beach area restaurants, Pier 14 promises food enthusiast a truly enjoyable dining experience. Located over the ocean, our view is better than any you will find. Serving lunch and dinner daily. We also offer a full bar.

Saw great ratings for seafood. Disappointed. Almost everything was fried. The 2 or 3 that were not fried were expensive - $33 for grouper . . . granted it was a full entree but there were no lunch-sized offerings of decent seafood. Service was very...good and the view was nice.More

Good food and nice atmosphere. Pier 14 is not fine dining, nor is it a typical pier shack. It falls nicely in between. The atmosphere begins with the view. The elevated view of the ocean is excellent. The decor is “Smart Shanty”. (I just made...that up.) We ordered a lot of fried food, but that’s on us. We started with the “Shark Bites”, which are a tray of fried fish nuggets with Boom Boom sauce. They were tasty. We both ordered the signature Beer Battered Fish & Chips with Cole slaw. They are described as “lightly fried” filets, but the beer batter makes them substantial. The portion of fish is generous, and the “chips” are some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Small side of cole slaw. It was all tasty for a plate of fried food. We also had chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The indoor bar looked great and people were dining at the bar, as well. They had both shady and sunny outdoor seating with some nice live music (a guy with a guitar, not a DJ testing his speaker limits). Our server, Maddie, was appropriately attentive, and although she had a lot of tables, she was sweet and friendly. It was a little pricey for what we got, but that’s kinda true everywhere anymore. It is a nice, casual pier restaurant.More

Appears to be recently updated, but cannot recommend. My filet, (ordered medium rare but came well done) was not good. Manager said he could give a discount or have a new steak. I said the discount as I hated to see a steak go to...waste, and he smirkingly said that he guaranteed it wouldn’t go to waste if they took it back. Can only imagine what that meant. Portion size was also an issue. My steak came with one ice cream sized scoop of mashed potatoes served on a fancy square glass plate. No bread, salads, or anything. Everyone who ordered seafood was served on wax paper in a wire basket with a sauce cup size of coleslaw. The fantail shrimp were not actual fantail. Our dinners ranged from $28 to $33 and the portion sizes and quality was not worth it. Go for the ambiance of a pier side restaurant, but not the food. This restaurant has an identity crises.More

I had the chicken tacos. Ton's of chicken in a great sauce and hot! My husband had the crabcake sandwich which was also hot. The place was very busy but our server took good care of us. It is very loud and there is some...outside seating. It was a very windy day so we stayed inside. Would recommend.More

We had lunch here one day on a recent visit to Myrtle Beach and enjoyed the experience. Pier 14 is very casual, our sandwiches were good, and service was pretty good, considering that they seemed a little understaffed. We sat outside, which I’d recommend if...the weather is nice. A stroll out to the end of the pier is also fun. We saw a couple of anglers catch fish.More

My husband and I made a quick trip to Myrtle Beach and were able to walk here from our hotel. I had the shark bites which were some kind of white fish that was fried and a house salad. My husband had a chicken sandwich...and fries. We enjoyed our food and had a very attentive server. We would go back here again.More

We got the calamari which was ok at best. The tacos were forgetful, lacking in flavor, and the grouper, which is over 30 bucks, was absolutely terrible. I have had better fish from the frozen aisle at stop and shop. Don't waste your time and...money here.More

My husband and I enjoyed a nice meal at Pier 14. It's pretty casual and moderately priced. We both enjoyed shrimp dinners. The wait staff really work hard.

No. Don't wait till you are starving to go. There usually isn't a long wait but be prepared if you go at dinner time to wait around a half hour.

There is seating along the way. But there is no parking near the restaurant. I parked in a diner parking lot but there is a pay parking lot that is about 50 yards from the restaurant.
