We have eaten at Lombardo's a number of times and have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We feel the atmosphere is amongst the best in the Myrtle Beach area, more quiet, intimate, and upscale than the usual "cafeteria" style atmosphere at most restaurants...around here.
Our last visit was in April for my wife's birthday. I would say it was not as good as prior visits but still good. Service was a little lacking and the food was still very good but "off" - maybe lower quality ingredients? But what got me was that several weeks after our visit my credit card had several suspicious charges and the credit card company shut it down suspecting fraud and notified me. I checked my charges for the prior month or so and the only time the card was out of my control was at Lombardo's. All other charges were instances where I controlled the card or online purchases where I strictly use "virtual" card numbers so my actual card number is never disclosed. I can only conclude that our server or someone behind the scenes stole my credit card number. I obviously can't prove it but the evidence points that was. This happened to me twice before in the past at what was at the time our favorite restaurant and that waiter was eventually caught. My credit card company told me to ask for the card reader to be brought to the table like they do routinely in other countries. I will do this going forward at other restaurants but for now Lombardo's is on my s%&t list.More
