Fantastic!! Walked in to your eclectic Great Aunt's home filled with her timeless treasures to enjoy a gourmet homemade dinner of your German heritage delectable. Bring your own drink is allowed, we did not, instead had wonderful German beer and wine. Then the feast began.......appetizer plate of 4 different handmade sausages(wursts) on a bed of the best sauerkraut (can not get recipe) enough for 4 people... take out container filled with leftover. Then you pick your main entree(protein), he had strogenof and i had pork schnitzel and you pick your sides. I recommend the potato pancake, bread dumplings and cucumber salad. We also had desserts that were very good.. highly recommend the black forest cake.. the chocolate mousse layer makes it special. Place is small and only by reservation. We met a great large party dining near us and were constantly conversing about area and the food. I debated writing this review because I do not want competition for reservations but this coupled owned business puts their heart into making sure you enjoy your visit.More

Had dinner for the first time there. The food was incredible and the atmosphere great. German music is playing and there are many things to walk around and see. Best of all the owners are friendly and make you feel at home. Dinner is cooked...to order and the breads were also very goodl Don't forget to try the soups. Can't wait to go back!More

My husband and I enjoyed the most delicious dinner last night at Der Jaeger. I had Beef Rouladen with mashed potatoes and potato Pancakes. My husband enjoyed Lentil Soup, Pork Schnitzel ala Holstein with potato Pancakes and red cabbage. This was our second time dining...here and won’t be our last. The Chef and her Husband are so welcoming and inviting. You honestly feel like you’ve known them forever. You are treated like you’re their Family. Reservations are a Must! As there are limited amount of tables nestled into a beautiful Antique Shop. We finished our meal with Apple Pancakes and a delicious Apple Crumb Cake. What a beautiful dining experience. Everything is homemade, on the spot cooking. We love our new find. It was an hours drive for us as we live in Stroudsburg, but we’ll worth the drive. What a wonderful find!More

Nice cozy European atmosphere. The food is excellent and reasonably priced with a super-friendly staff. I was never a fan of German cooking until now! The first time I ever ate lamb chops and I get them each time I go there now....so good! Shame...on people that leave negative comments...I always call ahead for availability in this small restaurant and am thankful when I can be accommodated!More
