We are passionate about delicious food, excellent coffee and great music. We use local produce to create exciting and tasty dishes. We team up with Sydney roasters, Campos, to bring you some of the finest coffee beans from around the globe. Sit and enjoy one of the best cafe views on the south coast, and relax to our great selection of vinyl records.
This place is a gem. Busy busy but staff do their best to get you in. Great salads, excellent French rose and friendly service. Well frequented every time we walked by. Very pro QR check in. Well done.
My daughter and I visited the Cafe for lunch today.
We got bombard the minute we walked through the door.
Staff way to aggressive and hasty in their service...would have left but knew how beautiful the lunches are.
Get it together guys or you will...lose many customers.More
We love to stop by Kiama when driving along the South Coast. This time on a warm May day we found Penny Whistlers and didn't regret it. The staff were very accommodating - although it was very busy at 12 noon and we hadn't booked,...we were still able to grab a small table outside and the service was fast and efficient.
The masala chai was excellent - left a spicy taste in the mouth for a long time afterwards ... just loved it. The white fluffy omelet (filled with ham, mushrooms and spinach) and sourdough toast was to die for - it was so relaxing consuming this with sea views at one of Kiama's beaches.
If you are passing by - take the Kiama exit and eat at Penny Whistlers - you won't regret it!More
Fantastic breakfast across from Kiama Harbour. Generous servings. Highly recommend the chilli eggs with sausage, avocado etc. and the sweetcorn fritters with avocado, broadbean and cherry tomato salsa.
Four of us had dinner here yesterday evening. The decor is inviting, even on a cold night. We were not impressed by the young male waiter. Perhaps it was his first shift, if not, it should have been his last.
He did not appear to...have any customer service skills or display any interest or motivation to do his job.
Obviously labour is in short supply.
Having vented, the meals were delicious, hot and flavoursomeMore
We visited for dinner on a Thursday night. Although the place was quiet, the food took nearly half an hour to arrive. We ordered the duck, beef cheeks and prawn fettuccine. We found the portions were on the small side for the price and more...similar to a fine dining restaurant. Luckily the flavours were also up there and the dishes were beautifully presented. A lot of potential but needs a little fine tuning.
We were short for time so decided to revisit on the weekend for brunch. The wagyu burger caught the husbands eye the first visit so we ordered that along with malted buttermilk pancakes. We also ordered a caramel cheesecake for dessert. For drinks, we ordered the decadent Whistler double shot coffee shake made with the local pines milk and soft serve, and a large pot of masala chai. Service was friendly and fast. We were seated at the corner and with the daylight, managed to enjoy the panoramic views. Food as usual was delicious and satisfying. A must visit.More
