Suffering cabin fever we hit the road for a day trip to Kiama. The surf was rolling in, the swell was up so the blow hole was going off. We found Diggies just down the road so stopped in for a warming cuppa. The staff...were great, my hot chocolate hit the spot and the whole ambience was refreshing and welcoming.More

Diggy's is in a great position just down the hill at the Blowhole. It has indoor and outdoor seating and table service. Our waitress Skye was friendly, fun and obviously loves her job. Our meals came out in good time and were well cooked and...delicious. Prices very reasonable.More

We booked, so on a cold windy day it was pleasant to be inside in a nice space. Service was ok, had to ask for water. Coffee ok not great. The Meredith smalls was given a tick of approval, Scrambled eggs were a little overcooked...as was the poached eggs. Not bad not great in a small town where there is plenty of cafe style competition.More

I ordered a vege burger with sourdough instead of bun, it came out untoasted so I asked if it could be toasted. They took it away and it came back with only one side toasted…grrrrrrr not happy, the beetroot soaked through the untoasted side and...made it soggy. Chips were quite greasy. We asked for water and the waitress forgot…!More

Location great and service also good, unfortunately too windy to sit outside. Our major difficulty was noise. Two ladies have hearing problems , but I don't !! and found the sound quite impossible. The salmon croquette dish was nice but the " The Club sandwich..." was a large bread roll with layers of tough overcooked bacon so the chef needs to revisit what constitutes a club sandwich. I would be careful in future to pick time and day to revisit this restaurant.More

Long wait to order and receive food. Poached eggs tasted very strongly like vinegar, bacon was greasy and our toast was burnt. The location was good and kids fish and chips were enjoyed, but the rest wasn’t great and we wouldn’t return.

My experience of restaurants around tourist attractions hasn't been terrific, but Diggies, .... next to the Kiama marine geyser, bucked the trend. Humble fish'n’chips (and what else would you order at Kiama) was a gourmet treat. Perfectly cooked and encased in an intriguing batter, on...top of a mountain of crispy chips. As delicious as it was, I couldn't finish it off. We were seated on an outdoor terrace overlooking Kiama Harbour; a million miles from care… you know how it goes. Service was prompt, efficient and genuinely friendly. Note to Diggie...: I thought the service deserved a tip and enquired whether I could add it to the eftpos payment. No was the answer, we’re not able to do that. Now Diggie, like lots of others I haven’t carried cash since you-know-what started. This means that your excellent service staff missed out on a tip. Easy to fix.More
