After home school my Daughter all morning Promising her a pie at her fav bakery to find they had sold out. That’s fine I understand. Even asking if you had more out the back as I had used this as a way to get her...to do school work all morning to find the young girls say no sorry that’s all we have for the day. To serve me and then walk out the back straight after placing my order to pull out a hole tray of pies. What the hell. Ask to change my little girls order but told no. That’s so disappointing really. I know it’s only a pie but hate to see it disappoint my girl.More

I was on the lookout for a decent cake shop to place a birthday cake order with for an upcoming family get-away in JB.  After doing some research, I chose Huskisson Bakery & Cafe.  Justine emailed me photos of the types of cakes available - which made...the process easier considering I was up in Sydney.  We were very happy with our decadent mud cake, along with nice writing on top ($55).  See attached photo.  We also bought family-sized apple pies ($12.50ea). The store was centrally located in the heart of Husky, and there was an appealing range of pies, baked goods and sweets on offer.  We went just before school holidays broke up for their winter break, so I pretty much got served straight away.  A short walk from the store is a grassed area overlooking the scenic Husky wharf area - so that'd be a nice spot to sit and enjoy your take-away treats from the bakery (see attached photo). Next time I'm in Husky, I'd like to road-test their hot pies and sweet treats, but for now, I am happy to recommend their birthday cakes for that extra special occasion.More

Been travelling south coast for past four weeks and sampling several pies recommended on social media and locals. Popped in today and thrilled I did - waited ten minutes for a batch fresh out of the oven. Chunky steak - sensational - pastry light lovely,...steak chunky tender, gravy ample and tasty. Temperature perfect . Great value Beaut service. Was pleasing to see the staff enforce the COVID requirements on a couple of excited customers. Brilliant - couldn’t resist going back for my second. Give them a go. A good menu too if you’re keen for something differentMore

Food and service always good. Just a tip though, because its so popular and the line is often out the door, a list of sold-out items on a blackboard out the front would be useful so by the time you get to the counter, you...whats left and if what you came for is gone, you are ready with an alternative.More

I picked up croissants and bread rolls early one morning this weekend. The croissants and bread were good but the service, not so good! The guy serving me made a strange remark that he wasn't able to put the fresh baked stuff on the shelves...because customers keep disturbing him! And no, he wasn't joking.More

If you have the taste for meat pie, sausage roll or egg/bacon roll Huskisson Bakery is the place to visit. Tucked in a side street just off Owen, there is ample seating. All your baked favourites are available and often has seating when many other...local cafes are full.More

It is extremely difficult to find a genuine, old fashioned cream bun these days. The bunnies in this bakery were excellent - and I tested them for consistency over a number of days! Other cakes and pies were freshly made and very reasonably priced and...and the bakery was very busy, which is usually a good sign. Coffee was OK and service was busy but efficient and friendly.More
