The first winery we visited on our trip to the South Coast in December. Unfortunately we missed the turn off but we eventually got their in the end. The entrance to this beautiful winery was spectacular. Definitely not the same as your typical Hunter Valley...winery, however the view is nothing short of amazing. We had no booking for lunch though we managed to gather a table for 6. We first completed a wine tasting to which we had to pay for (no issues), to which was then taken of the price of the wine we purchased. We later on purchased 3 cases. Unfortunately there was no craft beer left for takeaways, but I've heard good things from our friends in Shellharbour. We sat down and had 3 courses to which both main and entre was delightful. Our friends enjoyed the lamb and we thought that the wine paring was perfect for our meal. Dessert wasn't bad, but I'm not much of dessert person. Overall I must say we were very impressed with the business and we will be back before you know it. Special thanks to our friends Stacey and Mitchell who drove us to this lovely gem, great stop off down to the coast.More

I’ve never left a rating this low. Birthday weekend in Berry and my husband chose this restaurant. To sum up .. we were in and out in 45 mins .. $140 later ( exc wine) and I wondered why we had bothered. Two course meal...is $65 each and for this I had certain expectations. As a starter I was served a terrine that could have been out of the packet from Coles, my husband had 3 scallops and a bit of sauce. My main of Mahi Mahi was a tiny serving in a Luke warm tomato broth with 2 prawns and a few pippis. Husband had 3 small lamb cutlets and no sides. Only plus was paying extra for desert .. “soufflé “ which was more Like chocolate pudding .. tasted good though. I would urge management to sit down at their own restaurant - look at what’s served up for $65 and ask if they think it provides “value”.More

We booked in for Sunday lunch as the highlight of a long weekend in Gerringong. At the time we booked, we asked about the Jazz and Blues Festival as the winery was listed as a venue. We were told that the music would be outside...and would be separate from the restaurant and not interfere with lunch. When we got there we found that the band was set up inside with the speakers pointing towards the tables inside. Ironically, the jazz lovers were nearly all outside on the grass where they could not see the band and could only hear the music that came out of the restaurant. The music was way too loud in the restaurant. A number of tables asked to be moved as far from the music as possible. We asked for the volume to be lowered which it was marginally and temporarily. The actual food was great, but the whole experience was ruined by the loud music. It was very disappointing as we had specifically asked about this and been assured that it would not be a problem. (Note that this review has also been posted on the winery's tripadvisor page.)More

We chose to share two courses each, so we got the pork belly as entree to share, the spatchcock with polenta & the Angus with truffled mash, and then the Earl Grey pannacotta to share!!! The whole meal was absolutely delicious & it was more...than enough for us, so great value!! We were very well looked after and the ambience was beautiful! We were so impressed that we've booked for our friend's 60th!! We hope she loves Oak Room Eleven, just as much as us!!More

Entree of pork belly was a great start. Perfect black Angus rare steak and sublime truffle mash! Spatchcock was perfect with polenta and ricotta. Not one thing could have improved this meal.

Booked here for my birthday dinner with my husband and another couple and we were all blown away by the food which was just delicious and the wines were also great. We had a Rose and a Crooked River Saddleback Mountain red which we will...be stocking up on. The service was great, very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant itself is nice, although the ambience is not great, this is due to it obviously being a wedding/events venue so it's obviously a big space that can be setup for those events. As long as you're not looking for a cosy little romantic dinner venue I cannot recommend it highly enough as we had a fabulous evening and the view out over the vineyards during the day would be just beautiful. Will definitely be back!More

Went for a birthday, meals were cold, deserts were so overcooked that they were inedible, lacked seasoning and flavour. We were supposed to have matching wines to go with food and only got half a mouth full and then look around to see other with...a quarter of a glass. The host for the night walked past us and visited every table around ours and did not acknowledge us which was very rude. Staff had not been shown how to serve, spilt wine, not very knowledgable. So much excitement and completely disappointed and will not go back.More

Until I was planning my birthday I didn't even know that this place existed, high on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley, the ocean in the distance, and (most unfortunately) a motorway next door - but that isn't their fault and once seated in the...restaurant, you can barely see it and you certainly can't hear it! We were a party of 8 initially seated at a long table by the window, until the more senior of the wait staff came by and offered us the round table in the corner with 2 picture windows! Just wonderful with all that warm autumn sunshine streaming in! I wish I had learned the young woman's name who was the more senior wait person. She was wonderful and on the ball, and should be commended! She had a couple of "green" waiters, who were clearly nervous or new or both; she had a fairly busy Sunday lunchtime and she still managed to stay on top of nearly everything going on, and did it all with a smile. It is only because of the new wait staff that I gave a "3" rating for Service - if those newbies develop to the same standard as the young woman, the service will match the food. However, one of the wait staff took my friend's plate just as he took his last mouthful and then the waiter visibly hovered at my left shoulder while I lingered over my dessert. As soon as that spoon went down, the plate was gone! I was waiting for him to start tapping his foot with impatience! And trying to catch their attention, even waving, went unnoticed as they scanned the room but didn't see. I only had to look in the direction of the waitress and she was on her way over to the table. But, let's talk about the beautiful food! Many of us had the three course menu and we weren't disappointed! The quality of food here and its presentation are excellent. Whether it was scallops, the pork belly or the duck for entrée, the beautiful lamb rack or beef for main or ANY of those marvellous desserts, we all thoroughly enjoyed the flavours, the detail, the presentation. It was one of the most enjoyable meals I've had in ages. Modern, and for me, some new flavours blending with old favourites. Worth every penny and certainly worth a return visit!More
