The couple who together run this bistro deserve National Treasure recognition. in what looks like it was a front room in out-of-the way St Keverne, they invent, cook and serve the most lovely dinners. Everything that can be is hand-made, from the bread, the gravadlax,...the pate, the souffles, the mains, the puddings, including always all the ice creams. This time, we enjoyed duck liver pâté, smoked beetroot and burrito, salmon, local lamb and a spectacular fig sticky pudding with hazelnut ice cream and poached pears. There are lots of awards of course. Even in the lockdowns and Tiers, they have served their local community and turned their hand to take-aways and bakery. Tables are even fewer in these times, but book if you possibly can.More
