We visited as a family of 5 adults on Thursday evening. I Have to say myself and my partner regularly visit la casita skipton and love it; this was our first time at the new ilkley venue ( we had been to the old one...a few times). The service was welcoming , cheerful , helpful, and very efficient. The perfect balance. we visited with family members who hadn’t had tapas before and they too commented on the excellent food and service. we visited for my and my twin brothers birthday and we had a great time. reasonably priced food and drink including two bottles of lovely Prosecco ! The family are already planning their return so think we have converted them after years of telling them about it! We will be back soon ! Thank you ! XMore

La Casita never fails to impress. Superb food and inventive menu and drinks menu. Quality produce is used to create delicious, flavor packed food. This time the Iberico steak, roasted cauliflower, beetroot and the sea bass fillet were standouts. Always very friendly and attentive service.

Overall an enjoyable evening The standard of food was average but tapas are not something I cook so good to have this opportunity. The location is good but sadly noisy. The previous resteraunt in this location had the same problem with no softness to dull...the wooden floor and bear tables. It was a pity this had not been addressed at renovation. The problem would be minimal if hearty well hydrated individuals had more self awareness but sadly in Ilkley they don't seem to. Not an easy issue to address but the harshness of the noise is disturbing. We opted for coffee at home.More

We had the tapas. I’m sorry to say that apart from the lamb, the food just wasn’t special. It was just salty in lieu of great flavour. There also wasn’t much of it at all for the price, even by tapas standards. The courses came...out glacially slowly too. I expected much more. In fairness, as mitigation: -It was Saturday night and the place was very busy, though that’s not the customer’s issue. -We complained and the staff knocked off nearly 20% from the bill. Still didn’t really make it worth it though, and no-one enjoys complaining to staff. The place was chocked full, so they must be doing something right most of the time.More

Our first visit to La Casita’s new home. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a lovely window seat. The menu immediately caught our attention and the next 10 minutes were spent negotiating on which dishes to order because they all sounded delicious. Choices made...we ordered our drinks, a lovely glass of fizz and an excellent bottle of red. The dishes arrive in a random order which I think adds to the experience. The food was superb, every dish cooked with care and presented beautifully. We couldn’t fault it, great depth of flavours, subtle and strong flavours combining perfectly. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back to sample some of the dishes we didn’t order. A huge thank you for a lovely evening. We could have almost imagined ourselves in Spain if it wasn’t for the heavy rain outside!More

I called La Casita in Ilkley to make a booking. The female who answered the phone was so rude I felt compelled to leave a review here for the first time ever. I usually visit the branch of this restaurant by me very regularly, so...thought we would try the one in Ikley whilst visiting. I called to make a booking, which was like pulling teeth. I had to repeat everything to her more than three times as it was clear she wasn't listening or interested. After being asked for my name, phone number and email address, she then simply stated the words "credit card details". I asked what she meant, I was met with "i need your credit card details". Again I asked why she needed these as I have never in my life been asked to provide credit card details to someone to book a table in a restaurant (and I visit different restaurants at least twice every week). The response was " we have the right to charge your card", I asked why, and for what? Her reply "it's company policy". Again I asked what it was they 'had the right' to charge me for. "We only charge if you dont show up". Again, I had to ask how much and for what exactly they were taking money from me for. "£10 a head. We have lots of no-shows". Being told that someone "has the right" to take £50 off my card without my permission is aggressive at best. Her whole attitude was disgusting and based on that alone I was already about to cancel the booking. Her then stating she "has the right" to take money off my card without my permission, and the way she spoke to me was the final straw and I ended the call. It doesn't surprise me in the least that they have "lots of no-shows". I will ensure this experience is related to fellow guests at the holiday cottages. JWMore

Been to previous location in Ilkley but first try at the old Monkmans site. Nicely refurbished to style of tapas restaurant. Excellent food and good service. They had a good selection of dishes, calamari was fantastic. Will be back.

We are regulars at La Casita. When we first arrived and gave the details of our booking, staff we rude; they told us off for booking our table through Quando (the order had been accepted), but gave us a picnic table outside. We had to...prompt them to take our food order, which finally happened after about 25 minutes. We had been at the restaurant for well over an hour before any of the food arrived, and when we asked for the bill, we had to wait a further half hour. We wouldn’t have minded any of this if we had been greeted politely, but we felt quite unwelcome, and quite frankly as if we were a nuisance. We are questing whether we will be coming again, which is such a shame.More
